It will be a lot easier to do Fibreglass flares (not Flairs ) . It means you can bolt them on and mould in with filler as well as being easy to repair.

Gloss gunmetal IMO... Matte won't do it justice.

1/2" by 20TPI (Threads per inch) - look here: http://www.anzor.co.nz/?t=36
That's just my guess... Someone that's into Hillmans would know more.

Yeah, beach sand = silica = silicosis. It smashes up into tiny particles that get stuck in your lungs...
I've only seen the gun that Simon is talking about... It was crap, but I'm sure there must be better ones around.
-
Mike-e has done one... I think he used a 3A dizzy and went at it from there.
He'll find this thread eventually.

Being british it's probably 1/2"x20 or something?

I've seen it done with a datsun one ... Just get a a 4AGE dizzy gear and a 4k dizzy. Mash them together. Done.

Iv got one, they are pretty shit
only good for real little thing/hard to get to places , plus makes a big mess every where.
really depends on the size of the air compressors you use
we have a $25 one from topmaq and goes well even with beach sand, just doesnt like the drift wood and shellsprobably pot luck with the cheap ones
beach sand? salt .. bare metal .. rust?
alluminium parts
Sweet way to get lung cancer eh?

I take manifold pressure from the #1 and #4 throttle where the factory vacuum tube comes out. But my tune is mostly based on TPS too.
-
The chassis rail looks straight, so it shouldn't be too hard.
Don't worry about getting factory measurements. Straighten it up and measure from corner to corner on a diagonal - when they're the same it will be straight.

What are pushrods?

... I'm interested....
FWD will be good for learning to left foot brake .

Mint! This will make a perfect back up track car for you...
Open quads would make it better though .

How much oil are you running? Over fill the bajebus out of it....
The diff in my car is currently whining badly from the pinion - you get a gentle whine on accel and a louder one on decel/overrun. At a cruise you can barely hear it.
Did you check the pinion bearing last time the diff was out? If it's worn you could be measuring .010 of backlash, but the worn bearing may cause excessive slop and cause over/under meshing of the gears - which could cause the whine. This has happened with my diff in the past from a lack of oil at the pinion and it resulted in the crown&pinion burning the hardening off.
If it's not too loud I'd just live with it. Borg warners are known for whining from the factory.

One half red, other half white and a Pikachu in the middle.

Very cool combo.
The best way I can see if straightening the water line would be to drop the whole intercooler pipe down by 100mm or so OR relocating your filler cap so it sits at the highest point (the second option would be way quicker and easier).

Is your Sunny a FWD model?

I can't even picture 25k in material value.... But the aim would be twisty roads/track/hillclimb.

Hey, welcome to the forums.
I think this topic would be better suited to the Tech Questions section, so I've moved it for you - hope you don't mind. You should get a better response in that section. Feel free to start a Project thread for your Trumph and a discussion thread in the "project discussions" area.
Cheers!
Markku.
