Good shit... 150KW will scare the shit out of you. Don't change it.
Come get some track time sorted so you can find the its limits and get the setup sweet. Road and Track starts again in April.
-
a 3 or 4 link with watts or panhard rod is the best way to run... Much simpler than IRS and you can get LOTS of traction (or no traction if you'd prefer).
If you want a simple fix - tramp rods on both sides of the diff (mounted from the top), good shocks and the right leaves will be reasonable. Check lownslow's escort thread for a general idea.

Noticed a bit of bad karma in that post.

Lol... We've had this request a long time ago - muzzie completed it I think.
-
Lets do it again sometime... Possibly with more skids/tracktime.
-
Shit this is impressive when it drives past now... Botanical doesn't know what hit it.
-
K, I'll bring an IRC "officials" pass and see if it works .
-
Keen to roll up in the AW... Anyone know if there's a gate charge?
See you at 11?

I like silver.

Will be there... Depending how long it takes to pick up a beams a 6speed from Martinborough.

Shut up and get pics of young girls washing old cars, or visa versa.

Bam.
Your Oldschool parked on a train crossing.

Nah, that's just what I see.
Dude is wearing a seatbelt too.

= Rocking out with two hands in the air
= Rocking out with one mitt pointing south

It was pretty average in the rain, but normally isn't too bad. I run less camber on the RF to make it brake better.
-
Is this your old one?
-
extra grip from mods = more power please
K. Just need some rings, bearings and cams to make that happen.
Any idea what engine balancing is worth?

Macbuilt or Chequered flag are worth a look. Have heard good things about both.
Belts can be fitted to eye bolts which need 65x65x3mm support plates under the floor + lock nuts or crush washers. Put them inline with the back of the seat and with less than a 45' angle downwards and you're mint.
It's all easy work - make it happen! (might join you at port rd too).

even additions? e.g. tieing in the front strut towers if they weren't originally?
6) Modification of a Homologated Safety Cage / Safety Rollbar
It is possible to perform modifications to a Schedule A ‘homologated’ or Schedule AA ‘approved’ safety
cage or safety rollbar under the following conditions;
• All proposed modifications should be presented to the MSNZ Technical Department for approval
prior to any work commencing.
• Once the proposed modification has been completed an Extension Application Form (Form
T004) shall be completed and submitted to the MSNZ Technical Department for acceptance and
update (re-validation) of the existing homologation.
• An Extension Application is only valid where tube members are added that are not part of the
principal structure. This will include; side intrusion bars, harness mounting bars, reinforcements,
and gussets.
• The existing homologation number will be retained.
• An Extension Application can not be used where any tube members are introduced that form
part of the principle structure. In this case a new application will be required. (As an example;
the addition of two lateral rollbars and a connecting member to a Safety Rollbar will require a
new application. A new homologation number will be issued).
• Any permanent modification to a homologated structure will invalidate the original certification
hence an extension certificate must be issued to re-validate the homologation / approval before
the vehicle can be used in competition.
Mike, we've cleared this up with MSNZ and it will still be legal to extend a pre-homologated 1/2 cage. There were big arguments about it, and they've gone about changing the rules the wrong way.
It doesn't come under an extension but it will be accepted under the previous homologation number.

AW11 rally car with a blacktop Altezza engine in it.
Standard pistons and rods, block skimmed at the top to raise C/R slightly, reground cams and VVTI disabled.
Made 190something HP ATW through a turbo SW20 box and blocky looking gravel tires hahaha
That sounds mint! Any idea how I can get contact details? Fresh motor with cams is next on the list.
looking mean! what alignment specs you running?pinion angle changes grip quite abit aye...
I'm running 6' Castor, 4.5' camber on the LF and 3.5' camber on RF with around 2mm of toe out in the front. Will experiment with different camber and toe settings on the next dry day.

Took it to Manfeild with the new lowness and noticed definite improvements. It was raining for all of my runs so we were unable to get a real idea of what was going on with the car.
It now has truckloads of rear grip. Moving the panhard rod and adjusting the four link setup obviously worked, along with more front castor. I was able to plant boot at the same points I usually use in the dry. Any sideways was predictable and easy to hold. A+
We're going to have a play with the front setup at the next dry day cause it wasn't turning in too great. This could be a result of a wet oily track so dry time is needed.
Feels good to be making changes that have the right effect!
-
You think it needs more static rear brake bedding? K
-
... May have to give this a go... Will talk to smoothie about it.
