Destroking an RB25DE would be a cool way of building a hi-revving twincam motor though. Could happily pull 9 if it was balanced OK.
RB20e on bike carbs will be a laugh, but I don't think it will take you anywhere quickly. IMO a twincam engine with the dizzy driving off a cam gear would be the way to go.

I've got a home if you've got the powerplant...

I like how your seatbelts are backwards.

If you want to get a pre-bent kit installed, any cage fitter will do it for you.
Paddy and Mag and Turbo PN gave me a decent price to do the notching, fitting and welding of a kit but I can't remember how much it was now :woops: . He does a nice job at reasonable coin - can get pics if you want.

I hear CXGPWR has moved to Auckland.

What's the next track rapist then? . Something even cheaper?
-
Why would be give him shit for it? Pics of cars rolling are sweet.
-
Next pic in that cycle please?
Car looks good man, bit o' black paint behind the front bumper would cause it to win.

Slam it on 10's .

Yarrgh! Gather me wenches and a gaggle o' rums 10-5 cause we be headin' out to see.

Moving this to Tech - it's not really general discussion.

This is a technical question, so I've moved it to the Tech section.
DIY coilovers is the best way to go in my opinion.

So I've agreed to ride this thing to Taupo for a radio promotion on March 26th... It's go'n be a long day!!!
Was thinking about upsizing the engine before then, but need to figure out the best way to do that. I've heard that FZ80 barrels fit, but can't find anything about them anywhere. Might head down to the Suzuki shop and see if they know anything (unlikely). It needs more torque to make it through the desert road .
If you know anything, tell me.

":v2s872c3]got any details on that piston kit? I cant seem to find them on ebay
im looking into something you may be interested in good sir
ill be able to confirm when i have a fiddy block to tear down
What do you need? I can send a barrel & piston down if you want.
I've heard FZ80 piston/barrels go straight on but haven't been able to confirm.

No, the bell housing is part of the gearbox housing in the J160 gearbox. I think they're the same box as an S15 6 speed too.
If you want to fit it to anther motor it means making an adapter plate or cut/shutting the bellhousing. I don't think they would last too long behind a 1JZGTE, but would be fine behind an NA one.

How many litres in your tank? Must be the more torque&power vs strain on engine deal... Turbo diesel's are always more economical for that reason.
-
I've never heard of anyone getting more than 400k to a tank for varied driving in an AW11... They're only a 40L tank and 9L of that is under the fuel light, so you can't hope for too much more really.
Mine does 360ish on a good day.
The lack of o2 sensor will be making a difference. No matter how old your sensor was, it probably still worked (maybe not to full effect). Get a new sensor, fit it and your around town mileage will come back to what it was before.

Was all like yay first Palmy meet for me, but Thursday is our move-in day so would probably not have time, but yeah keen for whenever after that. Found a place in Ashhurst to live. Nice place - is that where you are Simon?
Currently camping in the Hiace at the Asshurst domain. Like a baws.
You didn't happen to be at Raumai reserve on the Pohangina river over the weekend did you? Me and simon headed out there at 11pm to check on my lil' bro at some camping party... Saw a couple of Hiaces there - one had a pop top and the other didn't. The kids thought "those vans are dodgey" and simon just said "Nah it's all good, they're in Toyota's".

Where did you get the barrel & piston from? I need to ride mine to Taupo in March so extra cubes would be a good thing!

PM CXGPWR - he did it on his AE82 with a sweet relay.

Hey guys,
As you all know, Richy will be snoozin in Auckland after this weekend so Thursday is our last chance to have an OS beer for a while.
You also all know he's a GC and has been part of oldschool for longer than most others - he's made a lot of LNI things happen and I'm sure we have all been smashed in his back yard or garage before.
So tomorrow, THURSDAY February 24th I propose a farewell beverage at the Rose & Crown. 6pm.
Who's coming?

Wow, another one!! ?
Keen to see it in person... it's a completely different form of citrus.

"Bridgestone Super R.A.P" racing wheels.
So gangster.
You may want to give the inside of the wheel/bead surface a good coat of lacquer incase they've gone porous. Do they weigh nothing?
roll cages ?

Can't make your cage too weighty now eh?
Chris, I think your cage should be more like this:
And side intrusion like this is where it's at:
