Think the 7 will be early $20k’s. Got my dad checking it out this week and I will have a cheeky bid on it depending on dad’s feedback.

    Hopefully it’s mid-high teens.

    You and me both.

The wife has given me the big, go for it, if it's under $20k.

  2. what do you think price wise ?

I went and had a look today, left side has had a respray at some stage, tidy, but not perfect, factory radio is missing, is a very tidy series one.

Is nice to see a survivor. has the strangest interior combo.

Whats the deal with rx7's  limited, gt, savannah ?

But is that really 60k? Its along way from ressembling an original coupe

From what I have observed it is the cars that are closer to original that command the $$ or at least have tasteful mods, or am I just out of touch....

Other than the weird mod of filling the front vents in, the body looks to be in great condition.

The interior's 90's style lets it down, but most of the hard to get parts look to be there.

Ditch the fugly wheels, go og on the interior and you've got yourself a sweet $40k rx2 coupe.

Not stock or modified enough to command $60k I wouldn't have thought,   but who knows what all that sweet sweet meth money is being spent on .

  4. So a mate has us signed up to go to the Kaikoura hop this year, should be good, apart from the fact that the headlights on the commodore are absolute shit.

Thanks to the random headlight shape, what options are there for an upgrade ?

Not expecting greatness, but anything has to be better than factory.

    Options ?

Gonna ask him some questions on his auction?

    Maybe.......

You would think answering questions on the auction would be easier than answering the same questions over and over by email ???

Cool car, cool story behind it, super tidy, but it really, will only ever be a museum piece.

I'm not sure we have the collectors in NZ that would drop that sort of coin on a unreged  lhd jappa.

Might have been better to ship it to Aus, if he is after that money.

would be best in a Mazda dealership showroom.

As far as the price goes, I'm guessing he has it high to chase away the lowballers and swaps guys.

If Tim's old silver rx3 coupe can't sell as a driver in NZ for $90k,  this never will.

Still a better buy than this for $74k

  6. Steve Allan Auto Refinishers.

    10 Power road Flaxton.

    Can't recommend highly enough.

They normally only do hot rods and muscle cars, but I've talked him into doing two Mazda's .

Drop in and see them if you are looking for someone to look after your car, Steve lives and breathes his work, and makes every job personal.

No daily driver insurance work, just real steel.

  7. Wow  !

You have dedication. To a good job.

You don' want to move to Christchurch and be a sparky do you ? I could do with someone with an eye for detail and commiment to a top job.

Please get your sparky to change that speaker point on the black wall to a black plate. My ocd is twitching just thinking about it.

The Danish oil you are using, could I use it on a marine ply Ute deck ?  It looks amazing on your rimu.

Top job man your wife must be very appreciative.  Wink, wink.
