  1. the cheapest place i found for genuine white walled tyres was

kumeu tyres, cooper 'trendsetters' i think they're called,

    the were $110 a tyre i think.

drury tyres next cheapest at $120.

    thats for 185/80/13

  2. basically theres no 'cheap' way of flaring your guards

(unless you want it looking crap)

its easy to lip or roll guards, its alot harder to flare them ...

if your wanting it done properly, then you'll be looking at a bit of cash

cos it involves proper panel beating (shaping and moulding) and

    painting = $$$

unless you find some bolt on flares or mexico style flares ...

  3. for 7-8 k you could find a tidy 2L converted escort, think theres

that green 1 on trademe at the moment ...

    or a 4age converted starltet, corolla ...

you've got about the right sort of coin to get a decent old school car

thats had a bit of work done, so just dont rush into it and make

sure you get something you'll enjoy

  4. stuff running in oil. just rock some decent 15w40 in there, mineral too, rotaries hate synthetic (carbon lock etc)

keep the metering pump too, premixing would turn out to be a bitch after a while

premixing is actually better than running the metering pump, then you know exactly how much oil / fuel ratio the engine is getting, and your

not running dirty sump oil (maybe not dirty, but dirtier) than fresh out

    of the bottle 8)

  5. as a few people have said, it'd be hard to ensure numbers,

cos soo many peoples cars are 'never ending projects' so its hard

to know when they'll be on the road, i'll definatly be making it if my

808 is going, but i'd say i wont come if its not, cos i dont really

see the point in driving my daily piece around ...

therefore, setting a definate date ASAP would be ideal, so everyone

knows when to be ready by ...

    febuary would probably be ideal,

    - still almost a guarantee of good weather 8)

    - plenty of time for everyone to ensure there car will be ready 8)

    - plenty of time to save the $$ for booze, accomodation, gas etc 8)

  6. all da ford ppl i talk to told me i could go b2000 but sed its just as much effort and not quite as strong as a falcon or as easy to find

    b1600 and b2000 diff's are good,

been told by diffs r us that they'll handle up till about 400HP before

    they'll start to struggle,

my mates running a b1600 lsd rear end in his 13B turbo 323 ... has 310 HP and is handling it fine ...

im pretty sure you can still buy brand new lsd heads from mazda too

  7. yeh its a hankook ventus tyre ...

the 'crager quicktrix' mags often come with these tyres

    pretty sure they are a 195/45 or 50/14 ...

TRD_CHICK should have these tyres or similar low profile tyres

on here mags ... look back for pix of her old ke30 sedan, those

mags are 14's and have a low profile tyre on them.
