good stuff!
grey and modgies look wicked!
bet your stoked to have it up and runing!!!
-
the cheapest place i found for genuine white walled tyres was
kumeu tyres, cooper 'trendsetters' i think they're called,
the were $110 a tyre i think.
drury tyres next cheapest at $120.
thats for 185/80/13
-
cheers, yep keeping 13" wheels, got some rx3 hubcaps im gonna
polish up, and picking up the white walls for it tomorrow or thursday.
almost fully back together, so i'll post up another pic by weekend hopefully
-
i'll post in here, 'sexyminor's one can just drop out or be deleted.
yeh was off trademe mid last year sometime, had series1 (10a) nosecone on it
-
heres a pic for ya's.
paint came out real well, stoked with it! just starting to put it back
together,
white walls are on there way
-
got it back from the painters last week, looking pretty good.
will try get some pics up asap.
just putting her back together, gonna lower it a little more
and find save for some whitewalls
-
just getting some whitewalled tyres from a shop in manukau,
about $150 a tyre i think, a bit expensive,
but prefer the proper white walled tyre look rather than the flappers
myself
-
i paid $240 for mk2 escort 1/4 bumpers, from bumper replacements ltd
in auckland, turned out very nice, still look good too, it was about
3 years ago i got them done, they were black, a bit rusty and
werent the straightest either.
-
nah
cop paint jobs rate up there with camo, for overall gayness
beats dukes of hazzard paint jobs on any other cars rather than chargers
agreed
that sheriff 626 is bad arse!!!
-
basically theres no 'cheap' way of flaring your guards
(unless you want it looking crap)
its easy to lip or roll guards, its alot harder to flare them ...
if your wanting it done properly, then you'll be looking at a bit of cash
cos it involves proper panel beating (shaping and moulding) and
painting = $$$
unless you find some bolt on flares or mexico style flares ...
-
good shit, looking good!
good luck with the re-assmebly!
its actually coming along pretty quick! i still havent pulled mine apart!
the cragers will look good on it once its all put back together and
low down
you must be stoked its starting to take shape
-
for 7-8 k you could find a tidy 2L converted escort, think theres
that green 1 on trademe at the moment ...
or a 4age converted starltet, corolla ...
you've got about the right sort of coin to get a decent old school car
thats had a bit of work done, so just dont rush into it and make
sure you get something you'll enjoy
-
yeh could be keen, havent started pulling the wagon to bits
yet so may as well take it out b4 i pull it apart
-
awesome that ford finally won!
shot to lowndes ... finally gets a win after switching from holden
and yes ... RIP porter
-
UZNGAS - for any gas guzzler is awesome!
FURSTY - same reason as above ^^^
FRASHD - was on a rx ke30.
QUPNCY - just cos it fits soo many words onto a plate
DSTRYR - for something staunch and fast!
-
stuff running in oil. just rock some decent 15w40 in there, mineral too, rotaries hate synthetic (carbon lock etc)
keep the metering pump too, premixing would turn out to be a bitch after a while
premixing is actually better than running the metering pump, then you know exactly how much oil / fuel ratio the engine is getting, and your
not running dirty sump oil (maybe not dirty, but dirtier) than fresh out
of the bottle
-
februarys TOO far away.
my car wont be going b4 then though
-
whose ass we talking about here???
mine, donnas, jarreds, Ants?
he was referring to yours.
kinda looks heavily padded form that angle
yeh? i'd say it looks all good!
-
as a few people have said, it'd be hard to ensure numbers,
cos soo many peoples cars are 'never ending projects' so its hard
to know when they'll be on the road, i'll definatly be making it if my
808 is going, but i'd say i wont come if its not, cos i dont really
see the point in driving my daily piece around ...
therefore, setting a definate date ASAP would be ideal, so everyone
knows when to be ready by ...
febuary would probably be ideal,
- still almost a guarantee of good weather
- plenty of time for everyone to ensure there car will be ready
- plenty of time to save the $$ for booze, accomodation, gas etc
-
yeh summer time would be good,
maybe earlyish next year?
anyways ... if my wagons all go and road legal it'd be keen to
bring it on a trip ... the gas bill doesnt worry me.
-
all da ford ppl i talk to told me i could go b2000 but sed its just as much effort and not quite as strong as a falcon or as easy to find
b1600 and b2000 diff's are good,
been told by diffs r us that they'll handle up till about 400HP before
they'll start to struggle,
my mates running a b1600 lsd rear end in his 13B turbo 323 ... has 310 HP and is handling it fine ...
im pretty sure you can still buy brand new lsd heads from mazda too
-
s1 rx7 engine bay ...
very nice
-
yeh its a hankook ventus tyre ...
the 'crager quicktrix' mags often come with these tyres
pretty sure they are a 195/45 or 50/14 ...
TRD_CHICK should have these tyres or similar low profile tyres
on here mags ... look back for pix of her old ke30 sedan, those
mags are 14's and have a low profile tyre on them.
-
masses of front +camber plus the rest of boso stuff ftw.
he's talking about positive camber = looks rude and affects handling.
negative camber is what your talking about.
