There's two facelift MS45 sedans that I know of, one is a members car @ruff kunt automotive From memory
no pre facelift (round taillights, same as mine) have shown their face but who knows what's hiding in sheds

True that's grouse
It seems there more common over there
There's always stuff on gumtree etc
Or is that just an illusion?
They are more common, but Aussie is a big place. Finding decent parts cars for a decent price that aren't on the wrong side of the country is a lot harder than it was 5-10 years ago

What is this? A girl who has good taste in cars and knows how to take care of them?
Is she a witch?

We've got a few boxes of spares but Loz has already sold off the stuff she doesn't want to keep just in case. It was her first car, she's had it for 17 years, she's stripped 4 cars over that time, and considering how hard it's getting to find decent replacement panels/glass/bumpers she just won't let it go. Can't say I blame her

Fuck photobucket is shit. Next time I'm procrastinating about doing something I might come back and fix this thread. Yes I've still got it, still doing basic maintenance and driving it as often as possible. Recently replaced front shocks, LCA and UCA ball joints, and after driving it today it looks like I'm due a wheel bearing. Old car life/worth it
a few pics so you remember what the hell it is
Cheers

Ha, the stout is in NZ and the crown ute is not even a roller so it makes it difficult
corona and carina
crown sedan and corolla
Crown ute and gf's celica
and stout
corona I bought for some parts I wanted for the carina, it's going to be sold fairly quickly. Might have to sell the carina too now the Corolla has come along. I got carried away again
cheers

When I was helping my mate clean out his workshop I saw a random old Toyota steering wheel, I grabbed it thinking it was off an MX22 he stripped a while back but now I've had a Google I'm thinking its very likely the original KE15 one. Way better than the rusty aftermarket shitter that was there
had a good look through the interior, door cards and roof lining are mint, seats are pretty much totally fucked from the sun. Will keep an eye out for decent KE20 interior in black.
found the original service book, with vouchers! Hadn't even used the 48,000 km one, the dash shows 52,000 so I'm wondering if it's actually only done those km's. First owner had her until at least 2000, last rego paper showed a pensioner discount. Original tool kit was missing one spanner, and had a dirty Nissan screwdriver
ive got these MX22 hubcaps which I wouldn't mind using but it turns out that 14" wheels in 4x110 only came on R100's, and people want drug money for the, these days so I may need a plan B
cheers

Assembled the front today, mainly because I've run out of room!
slammed it so my garage looks cool, it'll sit like this for a while until I've finished the Corolla.
Also acquired a free 5MG, the only M motor I'd consider running. It's a possibility, they look sick on carbs/ITB's. 1st pic to prove it!
cheers

Seems like you really have no need for a stout now. ....
Incorrect. I need ALL the rusty old Toyotas!!!
I'd rather finish it, don't need the money anymore, and I really do want to get some enjoyment out of the copious amounts of $ I've poured into it

Whenever I see these cars it reminds me of this KE20. Good score man, looking forward to the updates.
That video really does make turbo options look more tempting

I fell in love with one of these when I was in Melbourne a couple of years ago, a guy turned up to a little meet we went to in a super cool 5K swapped one. He was a GC, and he drove it pretty hard. I've pined for one ever since, but chances of owning one are probably pretty slim. Definitely one of my dream machines.
Keep it K. I can't believe I'm saying that, but the character that this little KE15 had with the 5K in it was just so perfect for the car. Couple of doorty sidedrafts and you're good to go.
Red one with stripes and race numbers? Adam Laws threw that together, that's the exact car that made me want one
as much as I've never been a K motor fan I think you're right, this is the right car for one

This is where you tell me why I should/shouldn't rotary swap it.................
I won't. So far almost all the Kiwis I've told have tried pointing me in that direction, the Aussies are more inclined towards an LS1

And here she is tucked away in until I've got some coin to throw at a motor and whatever else she needs for rego. Needs a good cut and polish, I know a guy who's pretty talented at bringing old paint back so I'll have a chat to him and see what he recommends. Hopefully the paint is savable, I like the thought of owning a 49 year old car with original paint

I've been chasing this thing for years, had the money out of the bank to buy it at one point but the owner changed his mind. He's finally decided he's moving overseas and everything has to go. I struggled to put the money together but the girlfriend really likes it too so she loaned me the amount I was short by
It's a pretty much rust free 1968 KE15, comes fitted with an auto but no motor. It's leaf rear, coil front. Apparently they were transverse leaf front stock so I'm not sure if someone has fitted KE20 front or maybe there's a JDM version or something.
It comes with a Borg Warner disc brake diff that has been narrowed for a later model Corolla, I need to measure to see if it's actually skinny enough, R31 struts and front brakes, coilover sleeves, a set of watanabes, a G52 box and bellhousing to suit, plus a 7K-E. I've still got to pick some of the bits up, and I've got no idea whether I'm going to fit everything at this point. I'm pretty tempted to just find a earlyish K motor and manual swap and get it on historic rego
Unfortunately now I'm flat broke so motor will have to wait a month or so
Pics from when I went to check it out this time when I knew it was for sale:

Inspirational pic runs rotary! Haven't seen anything about it for a long time now, wonder if it's still around
cool score, old celicas are awesome. Wish the gf would let me mod her RA28 the right way, but she thinks wheels smaller than 16's are not ok. Why do I even like her???? Oh wait, she's got a BEAMS RA28 and lets me keep buying old Toyotas
cheers

Helped a mate move this old girl today, and by helped I mean me and another mate moved it because he's still in NZ.
MS105 Toyota Crown coupe. First one I've ever seen IRL, I've known about it for a few years, the guy who owns it sold up his collection (where I got my KE15) and my mate bought this. Needs a lot of rust work, but very cool!
cheers

i have only ever seen W40/50 and W55 with R bellhousing, but i believe there was an early P ? box behind early coronas.
never seen a T40/50 behind an R motor, but that's not to say they don't exist.
There were G boxes behind 12/18R's in hiluxs, and the P51 behind the 18RG's in GT celicas/coronas. All the same bellhousing though I'm pretty sure

I've got a 3T one here that's the same as the bottom one.
I didnt think any R engines ever had T50's behind them but could be wrong

They do swap, can't remember exact details. There's heaps of info on the 'B1600 appreciation' page on Facebook

Sounds to me like they've just made it ok for a neighbour to complain about a parts car/unregistered project and you have to get rid of it.

Pushed this out of the garage today to give it a wash and see what I'm actually dealing with, tried polishing the boot to get rid of the surface rust, it's better but still needs more work
and I pushed it all the way up the driveway purely for a pic with the crown, GF was very unimpressed when I told her the actual reason I made her help. It's TINY compared to the crown
also picked up the rest of the stuff that comes with it, except I've missed the struts I just realised.
7K-E and G52 box fit nicely in the back of the daily
And I got the wheels, 14x7 and 14x6.5 watanabes, minor positive offsets, I'm pretty stoked with these! Although they require a stud pattern change to 4x114.3
can anybody ID K sumps by eye? I need a 4K one, this came with, no idea if it's the right one
cheers
