Nope, no dash either. Just a strut bar thats part of the rollcage, and the alternator/oil lights and temp gauge are welded to that bar. Tacho sits in the trans tunnel cause there's nowhere else for it And for the record, yes I do resent the name calling

Ok, to get to my car Unbolt and remove EVERY single little piece of interior thats bolted/clipped on or able to be ripped out. Put the rubber boot back on the gear lever. Put in the drivers seat. You know have a starlet interior like mine

starlets tend to need alot of rust attention aye look at neils one haha Actually, mine has screw all rust - mainly just the bottoms of the doors, which I fixed by welding big plates too

Looking at buying a trailer, guy selling it says one of the stubs was damaged and he though it was a cortina one so he bought one and welded it on. He then found that it appeared to be escort struts that have been modified. But he says they look practically identical anyways. The other side needs a rotor, but he's not sure what escort its off or if it's even escort or cortina. So I put forth the question - are they interchangeable?

I've got some 14s which I'm gonna try and use at track day, see if theres any indication of guard rub or similar. Mainly worried about my right rear, its been bashed and bogged up that many times

It's been lowered slightly, not overly, as it tends to get all the mud and crap caught in the guards and it jams up the wheels

Doesn't need suspension. It's got new shocks, and it's lowered slightly (prolly more hinderance than help) and massively wide tyres so it corners good. On mud anyways.

According to my tacho it'll go to about 6500 then run outta power to go any further, can't get it valve bounce. Putting in a 4age is too expensive, and so far I've never rolled mine, had it on two wheels yes but thats a daily passtime

Diffs already welded, well, actually this is the second diff And on dirt you do want some tread. 80kph on bald tyres on mud slippery enough to get a completely loaded water truck sideways on is not advised!

Well it's only used for dirt track, so no good in me maxxing out the top end - I just need it to get up and go in a hurry. Having said that, I hope I don't max it out on track day - that could be a disadvantage.

82 Starlie turned race car, got given a 3 inch tach for it and was wondering what I should set the shift light too. What will a standard 4K do in terms of revs, obviously they aint rev happy but will 6grand kill them or what. Also, whats some cheap basic mods I can do to get some more go out of it, mainly in terms of acceleration more than top speed. It's got a free flow exhaust on it and it's entirely stripped. Opinions? Suggestions?
