pffffft!!!
Wat fag posted these pics up?
HAHA i was wondering where my cape had got too
kick you in the face!!
Well it looks closer to the firewall than wat it actually is.Its not closer than wat it was with the 1200 in there.Im not sure if the engine was actually bolted in at that stage
It was very easy to put in.Ive been told that it bolts straight up to the 1600EX lancer cross member, but i found it didnt bolt to the 1200EX cross memeber.
This was an easy fix.All i did was bolt the sigma cross memeber in and use the sigma idler arm to stop the streering getting tangled in the cross member.i also had to use the sigma gearbox cross member and sigma clutch cable, thats if you are going to use the sigma (d50) tranny.
i also used the sigma sway bar on the front since the 1200 one is about 12mm and the sigma one is 25mm.
i also tried fitting the sigma power steering put it dont work.the steering isnt heavy anyway so its all sweet.
Ive done it all again and it took me about 4 hours, so its pretty easy.
My next thing to do is fit a sigma turbo disc rear and sort an LSD out.

well i dont know.Im just dding the fact that it has to be rejetted into my calculations.May not need to be.
i havnt tried it yet.still have to get the adapter

well ive got a 32/36 weber now.
$30
I think thats a pretty good deal.
I think it was off a capri.
Now i just have to get it re jeted.
Now is this easy to do?could i do it myself or is it better to take it somwhere. How much does it normally cost?
So far my engine is standard, only a 2 1/4" exhorst has been done.
Thanx

ive been told that the 1600 (4g32) head bolts onto the 4g63.i was lokking into this to raise my compression.i dont see why it wouldnt work the other way.
Slap the 4g63 head on, and if you cant find the turbo 4g63 head then just get the carby one and put a turbo cam in it.The heads are the same apart from the cam
You may find that putting the 4g63 head onto the 4g32 block that it might lower the compression too.Thats good for boost
Ive been looking to putting a turbo into my EX lancer, but went with the 4g63 n/a.I figured that if i want a turbo i will just use the starion block, vr4 pistons and rods, vr4 head and all the other crap.i still think that the sound of a n/a thats been worked and ringing out 8000rpm is better than a turbo.
I mean everyone has a turbo right?
Leave it to the evos and subarus

Ive got a 4g63 n/a in my EX lancer.
Its a 2000cc with a crap standard solex carb.
Ive found out that i can get a weber adapter to replace the solex.
i was thinking that a 32/36 downdraft weber, like the ones that come on the 2000cc cortinas and escorts.
Wat are these carbs like and how much are they?
Im guessing they are pretty commen and would be easy to re jet.
Any comments welcome
Thanx

hmmmmm.Thats intresting about the balance shafts.
Everyone so far has seid the same thing.
I dont really want to take them out if its gonna couse problams.
Im gonna do extracters, mite hav some twin dollortos and mild street can, and do the ports, so yeah. All that in a 800kg car should keep me fairly happy i think.

Im pretty sure the seat rails are the same. They are all pretty interchangabe.
What are you wanting the EX seat rails for anyway?

Just got a 4g63 non turbo gj sigma, trancplanting moter and gearbox into a EX lancer
Was wondering what the difference was between the 4g52 and the 4g63?
Witch is better and what cheap easy mods are there for the 4g63?
Also wanting to know if its worth removing the "balance shafts"?Does it give much more increase in responce or isnt it really worht it?
Thanx
