In mine, (Damn I should start a thread!) I've inverted the front spring hangers to get the rear a bit lower. Plus I have wedges to correct the angle of the pinion, which takes another 6mm out of the ride height.

yeah, use a fresh disc to grind it. Any steel from an old dics can fuck up your weld. Plus cast stuff can often weld shit cos they fill it up with shit metals like zinc etc so that it casts nice.

I think that stud was just put there to mock it up for the purposes of taking that photo.

any tig welder worth his salt shoiule be able to weld it back together. And any turner who isn't a UC oughta be to shorten it up. The trick is holding it dead true while it gets rewelded.

holesaws do tend to cut a wee bit oversized. I holesawed a hole in one of my cars, and got a bung of the nominated size from para to plug it. And the plug was like a cock on a sock. I had to glue the fucker to get it to stay in.

I am without an OS ride on the road atm too, but I'd be keen. Depending how far away it is, I might have a ride on the road. Dirty Lepper is usually up for a cruise too. I can catch a ride with him if need be. Some of the NZdatsun club boys (And girls) might be persuaded to come along too.
