I had to go to a B/day piss up, so i couldn't make it. Got on the piss hardies, and was forced to see photos of myself on the piss 16 years ago. OMG, it was painful.

On the plus side, I got to get on the piss with filthy one and mrs filthy one who are GC's.

You wouldnt have heard it cos you were racing mate, but the out of towners who were comentating the event were talking about your car when you were racing. You did a stout burnout, and they said we don't have the stats on what this car's running in front of us, but I'd say by the look of that it must be running an 8! I lol'd about that one.

Fuck this was off the hook. I cant remembr seeing so many methanol burning drag beasts in one place before, Even the organisation was good. There's nothing like the sweet smell of burning methanol, and super heated VHT with a 7second car doing a fat skid on it.

With 40 cars though, you'd never lack for a new diff, clutch, axle, motor, tail light, member, or what ever you might break. You could drive it like you stole it, and still nver have to catch the bus. (Unless you lose your licence)

I believe thats been set by the NZDRA.

Noise on overrun/decel is the pinion bearing ussually. Noise that goes away when you lift your foot is the gearset. Axle bearing noise will be constant throughout.

It's free for racers racing on the sat AFAIK.

But yeah, the outrageous fee will hurt the numbers of street cars I think. $5 to watch the practise is a good deal though. maybe we could roll out there for a look after this meet?
