I heard that laurel was doing 9's. no idea what it's running under the bonnet, but I did see a 9" diff under the back of it.

CUL8er (our tame tyre fitter) works at firestone on blenheim rd. He mite be able to fit them. he did fit a stupidly narrow tyre for another member here.

And one day it will be mine! But for the mean time, I get the thrash it, while someone else pays for the upkeep/repairs.

I went and spoke to the old boy between runs, and he was amping up with ways to make it run faster. Looks like a slipery diff, lower gearing and maybe some better rubber is on the cards.

In the NZ hobb by car technical manual, it has a table with cars weight, horsepower, and reccommended (or required?) brake sizes. If I wasn't so useless, Id go look it up, but I'm too tired tonight. If clint doesn't reply by tommorrow, I might go look it up for you.

man what a long day!
I went to the tui rock box last night, and got pretty hammered. So I wasn't in great shape today.
Managed to get six runs in, in my dads car, but I fucked three of them up pretty bad. one staging foul, (maybe a tree problem?) and two huge traction fails. (peeled out to almost 1/2 track)
The other three runs were 15.055, 15.057, and 15.078. Mean consistancey right there. Shame it wasn't DYO format!

If you aren't allowed to have removeable baffles so you can be a noisy cunt after getting a wof, how do people get on who have removable blank off plates for open dump pipes on cars used fo drag racing?

are wheel spacers max width 27mm?
yes,sort of. wheel adaptors (bolt on to hub type with another set of studs in adaptor to secure wheel) are 27 max, wheel spacers (slip on type, original studs secure wheel) max is 20mm.
Oh crap. I know of a family member who rolls on wider (Bolt on) spacers than that with no cert............
Is 27mm still the max even if the spacers are fully hub centric? (Rim and hub)

The bits of paper cert are actually declaration certificates.
They declare that the car was modified before the law requiring cert for modd'd cars came into force. I had a dirty old RX3 coupe which had a declaration certificate. (That car was dodgey as hell too) Cops used to hate it when they'd pull me over and ask for my cert, and I'd hand them that form. They'd be like oh, whats this? Then okay, on your way then.

That's some blood curdling rust you got there mate. No reason to relent though. You don't see many E's, F's, or G's nowdays, much less VIP's. This is one build thread I'll be watching.

I really feel sorry for the poor cunt with the anglia. It's one thing to ruin your ride through your own shortcomings, but when it happens through causes beyond your control, well that really is a shit sandwhich.
I raced at the motueka air strip there once, do you still have to drive through the water trough before each run? I didn't like not beoing able to drive around it when I ran there, but that was 10-11 years ago. (I think)

TBH, I'm a litle suprised at you 60ft time. I had thought you might have been a whisker quicker out of the hole. Out of curiousity, what is you PB 60ft time?
Your now comfortably able to run a full second quicker than my comfortable best time. (Excluding those freak days when everyone runs stupidly fast) Looks like I got some work to do to catch up to ya!
heaven forbid you should ever switch to a spool, and some DOT slicks. You'd be way way way out of reach then. As things are I still hold a glimmer of hope of catching up to you. (One day )
