2.2 isn't real shit, but given the tyres you have you should be able to run quicker.
-
I think if you get a decent pair of rear wheels and tyres. I think if you get some 15" MT's (or similar) you should be able to drop at least 4 tenths. It's impressive the times your getting with those skinny sidewalls that your running.
Whats your best 60ft time to date?

That fuel cell will be suck if you want to drive your car very far. 20l of gas wont get you very far.
Is this the white 30 that I saw in redwood?
-
Dan has kindly offered to pick me up. (What a GC!)
See you dodgey buggers there!
-
You should be racing lepper. (lulz)
I'd like to go. It'd be nice to get a ride with someone though. (I'd prefer not to have to drive there)

I don't know for sure, But I'd say they probably will. They ran VHT during at least one of the winter meets which they didn't do last year. Plus being a twilight meet the track will have had all day to heat up in the sun. I recall a practise run on the eve of the Digga southern nationals this year where the track was going off and guys were smashing their PB's hard.

Tell Pav that he made it wrong, and has to have another crack it it. (Just don't tell him that I said that )

I say chap, these cars are mighty cool!
Did I see your thread correctly, Did one of these car become parts only? I may have an interest in some of the spares if there were some?
-
yeah, get your eyes reversed for sure. Leaves that are dead flat are poos for handling/teaction. I had flat leaves, and couldn't put any power to the ground.
-
Surely it'd be easier to mount it on a boss off the discharge somewhere?
-
Look on ebay for a Hobbs switch.
-
how many kms does it have on the clock? I know SFA bout diesels, but it's my understanding that they smoke like fuck when the injectors are coozed. Knocking back the fuel pressure might be a starting point though.
-
A mate of mine "Datsunboy" has done many CA18 looms. I think he's registered on this forum, but doesn't post here anymore. He's done a number of CA's into datsuns, and a few into KP60's. Try PMing him, or PM me for his number. He also has a nistune tool to remap the ecu's, and reconfigure them for bigger injectors/uprated AFM etc.
-
Oh, that makes it more affordable.
I just need my car to not be broken now.
-
I thought it said that all particiapants needed club membership?
-
If you're buying stuff from BNT, tell them where you work. We get a pretty good discount there mate.
-
I think that datsun A10 stanza might be an aussie car that the guy brings out here to race each year. (There's fuck all off them here in NZ)
-
It's been getting reassembled very slowly. I don't have many pics of it at the moment. But heres a shot of the front with the grill etc all fitted up
-
Actually I was quite mistaken.
That distance was referring to a completely different set up. I had the halfway between bit in my head, but the whole thing was different. I was thinking of caltrac slapper bars,

Damn I would LOVE to do that, BUT,
My car is always broken,
I don't belong to a manz offiliated club,
I don't have a comp license, (I doubt they'd recognise an NZDRA license)
I don't have a manz logbook,
I'm too poor to get any of the above.

I think I need bigger door stopsthey work well mate they just need to be a wee bit longer so they are about
10mm from the spring.dan
The info I read reckoned that you want the force to be applied halfway between the center of the spring eye and where the second leaf ends.

the bearings are seperate form the Vaccuum/boost part of the blower.
-
Will the blower be disengaged once the turbo has spooled? if so you could overdrive the hell out of it and not have to worry about max speed as it'd cut out before it caught fire.
TBH, I've forgotten which way you were going in the finish. But after spending far far to long thinking about it, I reckon youd be best to have the blower pumping into the turbo, with a secondary inlet valve onto the trubo to let it draw air in from other than the blower once the turbo has spooled.

The A series datsun motor is based on the fail-tastic BMC a series turd.
