  1. I bought some relays off aliexpress.

They had two "power out" wires. (Could be an earth trigger if so desired) one was live when the relay was energized, and one was live when the relay was not energized.

We're going to fit one to dads Car, run a 12v+ feed off the key to the switching side, and a 12v ground off the oil pressure sensor. So the fuel pump wont pump gas until the motor gets oil pressure.

Conversely if the vehicle suffers a series upset/crash/etc, and the driver is unable to manually turn off the key. Then the power supply to the fuel pump will stop as soon as the engine oil light comes on.

Not as fast as a modern vehicle with EFi. But if the driver has injuries preventing them from exiting the vehicle under 5heir own power, it prevents a small fire becoming a very very big one.

Planets finally aligned this afternoon (mainly work and temperature) so finally took the baby for a walk.  Main learning:  I am woefully out of practise.  Lots to do before the March Melee!

You're gonna want to switch out those tyres for something better suited to off roading.

And now its a mini camper.

Going to build a bathtub type base out of ply to attach it to, so it can all slide off as one piece (and have some decent mounting points)

The idea is to make it a pop up, with canvas sides. It's about 76cm tall inside, so with 1.2m of canvas sides it should be pretty good inside.

Will build a bed base/storage/kitchen bench into the ply base so it is all contained

Looks perfect for displaying a dead person for a state funeral

Removing dent from a fuel tank? Car sat on the ground sans wheels so a portion of the tank got pushed in so more of a depression than a dent

Have got popped half of it out hammering a  wooden pole thru the fuel pump hole but cant get to the corner to finish the rest of it off

Tack weld a nut on the base and slide hammer it out?

Make up some blanking plates and use a waterblaster to hydroform it or compressed air?

I'd try compressed air tbh. Put 120psi on it, and warm the dent with an oxy acetylene torch. Set up camera to film the dent popping out.*

    *pleez dont.

But compressed air is what I'd try

  5. Finished work early yesterday, and had a crack at my CT110. Put some power on it, and gave her a few kicks. Nada.

Pulled the plug and gave her a few kicks. She was sparking like a champ.

Gave her a lung full of starter fluid. Rev'd up fine. (Then died) tried it again, and while it was revving out jammed my hand over the carb. Naturally it flooded up. I found if I flooded it, and lifted off it would rev up again. (All testing done at WOT) rinse and repeat.

So the carb had to come off.

Stale as is yuck as! This fuel is likely from 2014. (When the bike was last on the road)

Carb is all cleaned out and minty fresh now.  Gave the gas tank a drain and sluice out with fresh gas. Otherwise it wasnt too terrible. (Bike is an '08, so it stands to reason it hasnt had the chance to get really horrible yet)
