Do they run AC?
The bulb that came out of a spare dashboard Ive got just looks like a normal(ish) car one?A normal bulb will run on ac no worries, but LED’s need dc. If you have a soldering iron I can tell you what bits you need to buy to make it work, costs less than $10 to convert it from memory

LED bulbs,
Ronnie the Honda Dio has a headlight slightly dimmer than a wet birthday candle. Now it's dark in the mornings, and they're deactivated the street lights through the part of the red zone through which I traverse on my commute to work. I would like to beef up the illumination. Ideally I want enough lumens to down the ghetto bird if I was to spotlight it. But in reality enough light to see the myriad of potholes, and see pedestrians wandering through my path would be ace.
They appear to use a smallish twin filament bulb. Do any of you experts know is there a straight swap LED replacements? (50cc, so no wof required)
Alternatively, a link to a really grunty light bar would work too.
I put LED’s on my aprilia but I had to convert from ac to dc for it to work

thats not too bad, but I have heaps of various bits that I use, so I would like an adapter to use whatever I like, even an extension etc

Hey anyone know where I can find a 1/4" square female socket to a magnetic or latching 1/4" hex bit. Like in the link below? Seems like something we could get in NZ, but cant seem to find it. I keep using my 1/4 set to tighten hex bit fittings, but the 1/4 bit isnt magnetic so the little bits keep falling out, quite a pain when in an engine bay etc
Interestingly, I can find 1/2 to 1/4 hex adapters, but what kind of animal would use that

Your old plug looks like oil fouling leaving carbon deposits ? You on a oil pump or premix?
yeah possibly. It has an oil pump, pretty sure its set to factory settings, but I will have a look

Ok spark plug connoisseurs, tell me about my spark plugs. Old plug has done 4000km with mostly richer running, just recently change to a small jet, bike was running a bit crap. It has a weird build up on the top flat area that is not easily removable. New plug has been ridden for 15km with the smaller slightly lean jet. What else can you glean from the pics.

Went camping at Ruapuke beach on the weekend, was some sweet gravel roads from raglan around Mt Karioi to Ruapuke. Scooter ride starting at raglan going all the way around would be legit

I got an aliexpress bike bag for urewera, it was legit, if not a little small. Looks like the bag will last for ages. I would go back to aliexpress for future stuff

anyone have an idea on where you can get throttle cable bends to go into the tops of carbs? I need a 90 degree of possibly even more to go into the top of my PWK 24 carb. I have had a look around but cant seem to find the right search words.
Ah, found 1 second later

Sounds like you're overthinking it. Just nang it.
See you at the end of the week?
yeah I'll be there and square. Just trying to get max out of the bike!
This morning for example, I got to 77kph before I reached the limit of the variator and rpm starting climbing, but typically in the past few months I have been doing only 72kph before reaching the end of the variator. There is still some shenanigans going on which I cant figure out

Are you still running the brand Technigas new pipe? If so, it's very unlikely that you've got a coked up exhaust IMO, although it's possible that there could be an issue with the muffler packing or something?
What are the symptoms? Still the gurgly takeoffs from the lights? From my experience, a partially blocked exhaust will cause issues from mid-high RPM and will usually smoke a LOT once you get the pipe hot.
yeah same technigas pipe, I got it reasonably hot yesterday and it was smoking a bit, not massively though, but it was going faster than it has been which made me think the exhuast may be slowly clearing out and making more power. Dont have the gurgly take off any more. Could be some weird stuff happening with the packing too

OK, its a par for the course type thing? I am asking as I am interested to know what the symptoms are of an exhaust thats clogged, specifically when going from a brand new exhaust to a clogged exhaust, with a cause like prolonged periods of running rich
