Hey @Raizer giz some goodies

Trail tech vapor is the jobby
-
There are plenty that look cool, but they all go way too slow. I don’t think many could get to 40, they are more bicycles than motorbikes

Can’t find any sweet motorbike markets in China, everyone has electric bikes now, probably only seen 10 petrol powered scooters in the last few days
-
Is that a good thing? I guess if you don’t know how to modulate brakes. It means there must be a balancing system too which could be a bit gross
-
What’s a combined brake system?
-
Yeah get a trailtech vapor, reliable speed, rpm and cylinder temp. I have a stage6 version too on another bike which is a good alternative. Over 200 degrees is into trouble territory, above 215 is super danger zone, hard riding on long straights should put you around 180-190 in the middle of summer

oh lol, the nail was so small, that its super hard to find the route it took through the tyre, so motorbike shop suggested I get some true blue goo for it from another motorbike shop
-
No car tyre repair shop would even consider my scooter tyre, so I have bought it to work today to try get a bike shop to fix the hole. Apparently motorcycle tyres use different plugs or something according to one of the tyre shops. And Beaurepairs dont touch motorbikes anymore after one of the shops wrecked a gang members harley wheel

Take it to a bike shop or tire shop.
Man surely I can fix it myself?? Bike shops charge $50 a brand new tyre and $100 to fit it, so I imagine a flat tyre will cost almost as much as a new tyre

Those string type puncture repairs like the super cheap one are a temporary fix and a WOF fail
What’s a permanent fix then?

I've repaired bike tyres same way a car ones done, vulcanised a pull through plug to it. Easy
Will that supercheap option work?
-
Yeah it’s tubeless, I want a long term fix. That seems reasonably legit, might try get one tomorrow and try it out

Pulled a 40mm long nail out of a near new motorbike tyre today, tyre deflated instantly. What’s the story with repairing a nail hole in the tread of a motorbike tyre? I have tyre levers so I can take the tyre off myself

So I hope to have my off roader going very soon, and am on the hunt for places to take it. Anyone know of anywhere in the central NI that's open to off roader spec hooning? Its a bit wider than a quad bike, and 2WD, so more open tracks would be lovely.
I have a few places lined up, a local beach area, paddock in the middle of no where, plus a local MX bike park that's open to such vehicles once a month, but the bigger the selection the better.
Tanx xoxox
kapoors road, or john mcdonald road off SH47 have some good stuff for 2wd hooning through foresty spec stuff, one lane leads onto 42 travers if you're real keen
also few roads around Erua are good for offroading
Would be sweet to hoon around the desert road area too I reckon

Anyone know who can convert rims to beadlockers in auckland?
-
Oh lol went there years ago, damn Memphis is such a sweet ghetto

The bridge rectifier is made up of diodes, so it’s just redundant I think. I bought the bits from mouser for only a few bucks more than AliExpress and it came in less than a week

I fitted a bridge rectifier and capacitor, works sweet running 2 LED's on my daily scooter, been running about a month? now no problems, just without the diode as per Ned's suggestion, cost around $15

Is there a list of whos coming and what size bikes they are riding? pretty keen to bring my street magic again, but if its clearly going to be the slowest then would consider my faster more city style scooter

Hey @Raizer you got any for buying, or have a suggestion for a clutch bell for my aprilia sr50r? I have upgraded the clutch to the stage 6 torque control mk2 but the clutch still slips after a bunch of stop/starts around town and I have already reduced the force of the engagement to make it softer. Clutch is a major upgrade over the factory one, but still have cooling issues on the bell I reckon
