Think I used 400 grit, but i dont c y 80 wouldnt work. It takes paint off heaps quicker, then u could go over whole car with some 400 to clean it up some more.

Being a Mk2 like mine, i would guess there are like 5 coats b4 the metal, just take about 2 off. As long as its rough enough for the paint to stick 2!
