I warped the panel! hardly noticable now tho, n i neva tride 2 put the vent back in coz it would just rust out again in a few yrs.

I made a flip down front for my big wide box so i got it divided in 3 parts, amp in left side, sub in middle and toolbox on right - gotta love study leave!....but front fell off on one side....got more important things 2 do atm!

1980 but I fixed it.
My parts wagon was about a 75-6 n it was bone dry but gone in the rear guard on the outside behind the mudflap - it was from central otago so ive no idea how acurate this is as an indicaton coz central cars dont rust!

umm, u sure its a 1600??? Coz they sposed 2 be an inch taller above the thermostat housing, urs seems flush, and is the engine # 711m6015AB or AA?

Me.....1600 crossflow a no-go, cracked valve seats and pitted bores - lookin at $700 to get it runnin - FUCK!!!!!!!!
It generally takes a bit 2 get me angry but that tipped the scales.
Now Dad and I are gonna rape the Cortina for bits and im going to run full mk5 cortina running gear - diff, shaft, 5speed, 2l. And for good measure Ill steal the sierra recaros too.

Also concluded... where heater bubble meets firewall at bottom most point - 2mm gap! Glad I found the mofo before I got angry and gave up.

BAAAAAACCCCK to the leaks topic, I took a 'mental health' day off skool and pulled the scort 2 bits again (gettin good now!) 2 investigate the soaking carpet issue. Tore the console, carpet, glove box, flexi heater pipes, instruments n all shit so I could get a good look in, then undid the heater hoses in the engine bay, unscrewed the heater unit and pulled it out, ripped up all the fucked out sound deadening n found the source - rust hole in the back of the heater plenum I believe, kinda ran outta time 2 make sure. Luckily, my parts car came from central otago and has been nun-dry its whole life, stole the sound deadening from it 2 go into greenscort 2morro!
Ill get sum pix so uz can c if its ur problem 2.

I made a new set yesterday outta 6cl falcon ones, my mate gave them 2 me n the coil ends were diff 2 escorts, so I cut the ends off all and wacked the old terminal things and rubber boots of the scort onto the newies! Look flash as and FREE, FREE i tells ya!

Ooooo you mean the actual gagues! Naaa that might b a mish.You may be able to buy a decal set at some auto shop that would stick on ova the painted bits? or you could get some white gagues from the U.K at mad cost.

Im gonna get my G/b, 2L, Wide Wheels, Flared Guards, Seat Mounts, Suspension and wallet lightening all done at once.
I was spinnin a yarn 2 the cert guy 2day n he sees no problem with what im doin, but i forgot 2 say bout the guard pumping and my theory....this being that RS2000's came out in oz as a 4dr option with a factory 2L motor, these were dead safe and identical 2 our mk2s so why do we have to cert a 2L in NZ?
