  1. yeah i dont think the age is what makes it oldschool, its the style and class that goes with the title, anything can be considered, like you cant not include an 84 DX Corrolla or and ae86 or even a mid 80s falcon, but also depends on the mods cause if its a 76 corolla ke30 but got big wheels a half arse lowering job and a bunch or stickers down the door i aint gunna call that oldschool either :D

if your having doubts about your own car then its probably not oldschool, you just know :D

  2. we unbolted the fuel tank then cut half the spare trye well out(nothing structual) then bolted two 8mm flat bars across the chassis rails then the tank mounts bolted to those so its hanging between the chassis rails pretty much right at the back, we then got a piece of sheet metal and bent it 90degrees and just used body sealer and rivits to hold it down which was good enough to be sealed from the passanger compartment. it left half the trye well, which made a great place to put the batery and a few tools(after all it is a ford :D )

dont know if this would work so well in a sedan but ive seen heaps of tanks in boots without any problems so i guess the boot is counted as sealed off from the passanger compartment

as for cost he was quoted around $2000 for a new lpg dedicated carb, but he got one out of the buy-sell for 300 second hand(but works mint), the tank and mixer cost 250, also out of the buy-sell, we installed the tank and the carb, the car already had lpg lines fitted, and it cost $370 to get the mixer installed and all the lines hooked up, and tuned up, and the LPG cert done

    hope this helps :D
