Weld up some rusty chain fuck man why did we not think of this!
-
So mean!

Have you taken it for a ride yet? In not, do so and I will let you take Thrillers Avenger for a strop at Leadfoot.
Haha pretty sure I'll be there to supply permission in person...

Got side cover & oil tank back from paint, top notch work! They have been painted in white with a few licks of sliver & blue pearl. You don't really notice it until the light hits just right then this awesome little sparkle pops out. Dreamy. Old mate wants to wait a couple weeks for them to harden & cure properly then it will be sticker time, followed by a few more coats of clear to seal them in.
Booked in for a re-vin on Tuesday morning, fingers crossed that there will be enough evidence to prove that it has in fact been registered in NZ before.

Fixed some shit last night: the indicator switch works, the horn works and the battery doesn't flop around and short itself out on the frame! Tank & side covers are at panel beaters. He found a shit load of rust pin holes in the tank so they have been welded up now. Will run a POR15 tank seal kit through before it gets any colour and the new decals on it.

Oh man this is awesome!!!
I'm planning on taking my bike to VTNZ this weekend to get re-reg/wof and according to the previous owner the chassis code isnt in the system either... I do have an old (dead) number plate and a veeeery faded wof sticker on the inside of one of the side covers. Fingers crossed that will be enough to get it over the line

So long and thanks for all the sausage!

Good looking cranks! Loving the CL chainring too

Its a steel frame, just pull it apart by hand each time you chuck the rear wheel in. 15mm total is easily manageable.
What's your current chainline measurement front and rear?

Heaps of all of the above. We have loads of floor space in the maze/house that is the AGMC HQ. Tom has lotsa room too. Bring a mattress

Weapons of mass grill-struction up in hurr!
Took the charcoal for a test run tonight, with a few more mods that badboy will be cold-killing and hot-grilling...

Sweet lets decide a bit closer to the time. Ring-a-dings in the 'Ding would be pretty mean

It's always the condensor. Unless it's the plug lead...

If you make it to Taupo on friday morning, Jess and I will be rolling down to catch some of the track action.
Aren't we going down thursday night to stay in the 'ding and catch a full day of track friday?

Not cheap but hot damn they are the best looking motorcycle pants bar none (mainly because they don't look anything like motorbike pants). Kevlar lined & slip in armour included.

Oh yeah Broccoli - chopped bars haha yeah I agree but there is a point where it goes from functional to fashionable! 660mm unchopped risers feel wide in city streets. Conversely though, a hand width either side of the stem is pretty ridiculous. Somewhere around drop bar width (400-450mm) is mean.
Also now its broken you can make it fixed you giant wet potato sack!

Snapped teeth wtf? Photos!

Looking good!
Things to do now:
Change to fixed, lose rear brake, angle seat properly so its level/doesnt poke you in the bum-bum, ditch inner chainring, chop bars narrow/shoulder width to squeeze through sweet gaps in traffic, get some clips & straps on the pedals, matchy-matchy handlebar grips. Don't worry about changing headset its pretty much the least important bearing on the bike (in terms of quality needed).

Just cruised home from bike night down the motorway with 3 mates on classic 750s. 4 wide sitting on 80mph.! So bad!!!!!

Double whatever is in there, should be a good starting point haha. Super easy to resolder them up if you need to go smaller again
