Been a RC plane nutter for a few years, found this plastic case and convert it to a
box to transport my 1 cell (3.7volt) RC warbirds, protected and lightweight.
Another of my obsessions, Veedubs, found a way to display my mainly tail light
but also other Veedub stuff. Have plans to get some LEDs and light it up.
Speacking of lights, the boss lady even approved of this one, let this in the house,
well out on the veranda at least! Used a big valve as the base, the middle tail light
from a 1961 model Beetle, rare 50/50 only one year in Australia and Italy.

A few more from the middle of the ditch, maintaining the long, low and slow
theme..........
Love the old style cantilever frames have a few good stock ones and enough
in reserve to be able to chop a few, this one long, low and slow. Wanted to
keep the “Canti” style but stretched, the top bar from a circular trampoline.
Keeping the long and low them going, the “black Baron” to get her lower
cranked up the rear triangle and raked the front forks.
Gotta have a rat, buffed off all the paint to bare metal and let her rust, like
the above raised the rear triangle and raked the front forks. The shifter is
a foot pedal off a piano, nice shiny brass at one end and a piston from a
small chainsaw at the other. Again used a pipe off a round trampoline for
the top bar. Really like rat style as you don’t have to look after them!
The lamp from a second hand store and another prised possecion my
plunger style warning device, sounds like a duck caller, she gets moved
around my bikes a bit.

A few newbies from the middle of the ditch!
Always been a fan of push bikes, grew up in Christchurch riding out to the rivers
on the plains, up to the and all over the hills and out to the beaches. I now live in
a place where there are more push bikes than people. One of my obsessions,
chopping up pushes and turning them into something else!
Plenty of spare parts in stock!
Call this one the beer bike, found an Japanese beer company plastic create
washed up on the beach, buffed all the paint off and let the salty nature of
the environment that surrounds me do her thing!
Had a Veedub obsession for along time, had 60 and 64 model Kombis and a 66
model Beetle back in the day. Had all the bits I collected over the years in a box,
came up with a way of displaying my collection that rolls. Tappet covers on the
rear basket, she has Karmann Ghia tail lights and a 70's model Kombi boot latch
to hold the basket cover secure. Red and black I'm from Canterbury!
Yeah she is heavy because she is loaded up with, a 60’s Beetle steering wheel,
fenders also from a 60’s Beetle. Headlight a 60’s kombi indicator, headlight stand
from a manifold, early Beetle indicator as the other light. My prised possession
a rare flying VW bonnet emblem was only available via Australian dealerships.
Scored a bit of a mother load of the below ebikes, enough to keep a couple stock
and chop the others.
Always had a fancy for getting things low, this one made from an inverted 20
inch front frame and the rear end from the above ebike chopper, even though
she looks uncomfortable she is actually quite nice to ride.
This truck made from the front half of an ebike chopper and a trike rear end,
left her in old school red primer to give her that hot rod flavour. Front and rear
lights operational, that's the battery under the seat, in fact all the above have
operation lights except the beer bike.
More soon.......................

Just checked out this whole thread, pretty similar to my GZ250 just in a different
direction, like that colour choice I was thinking of going green on mine as well.
-
Suzi 250 project ready for rego inspection, fitted some lower bars which I'm thinking about
flipping and going lower. The new muffler was a little noisy so added a baffle and some
steel wool to shut her up a little. Second hand fenders and paint, exhaust wrap, new seat
some electrical tinkering, oil, filters and new plug, she's a goer!

Scored this modded GZ 250 cheap, not running, clutch cable broken,
no rear lights and no fenders. Not a fan of the purple or those bars.
Have a bit of a parts stash from wrecked bikes and I'm on a budget,
want to carry a pillion so two seater, fenders I plan to use.
Where I'm at now, got her running but rough, replaced the rusted out
muffler and ordered a carbie kit.

Sweet. Details on front hub motor please...
Thinking of buying one on Ali 11-11 sale in a few days.
It is a street legal 250 watt job, it's okay for what I use it for but
if I went again I'd go a better performing unit. Purchased from
the mob below, they don't do the kit I have anymore.

Always been a fan of Burt and his achievements, had to build a tribute to him,
not the same model nor is she a streamliner.
Drew up the plans on paper then cut bits of old bikes to get the parts for the frame.
Live pretty isolated so only got an arch welder.
Few twists with this one she has an electric pedal assist kit.
Gave her the "barn find" paint job.
Engine parts, bits of plywood, plumbing pipe, brake lines, an old torch and other junk.
She can be a board tracker as well as a street machine.

Vehicles: Mainly old bikes, a couple motorcycles mainly old pushies including some custom jobs.
My favourite bike below, only bits I purchased the tyres, seat and back stand, all the rest from
to local tip, bits of cut up bikes for the frame and most of the motor from scrap plywood.
How she began...
How she end up....

Random slightly cool stuff you built but not worth its own thread, thread
in Other Projects

Sadly folks I will be the bearer of bad tidings as the ultra micro 1 cell world have
all been discontinued even the 2 cell jobs are pretty much gone, for a while there
they released one every 6 or so months, lucky I was a bit of a hoarder.
Now I wouldn't say these little jobs are for everyone, they are very small 40 to 50cm
and they are light so windy conditions are a no no. Here's a few from my fleet, the
multi wingers, Waco, Fokker DR1 and Avro Cadet, the first two are re-paints the
Cadet is converted from a Stearman.
Where the Cadet came from.
Gotta love the Spitfire, Mk IX painted as an airworthy one in NZ, the Mk VIII as one
that flies in Oz, long nose FW 190.
Here's the Spit with her lid off pre paint job.
Mustangs, well two at least the Yak 3 modelled on one that flies in NZ and the Fiat G59
are converted from Mustangs. The camo P51 painted up as a RAAF machine the red
and white one up the back a famous Reno Racer "Strega" she has a kick up the bum
as I converted her to 2 cell.
Where the Yak came from.
And here's the Reano Racer with the 2 cell set up shoe horned into her!
Multi engine jobs.
Bit on the multi soon............
