Had my painter mate check out the rear quarters before I moved on to other work. he was happy as..just needs a light skim which is always nice to hear.

I had to turn the car around to do the other side so thought it was time to give it some sun.

First sides all stitched up and came out pretty good..no warping. just need to flap disc it to see if there’s any little holes I’ve missed.

There’s no turning back now

A mate lent me his mig welder to have a play with. thought I might have a crack at welding up the rear fenders myself as the process is just a lot of spot welding so you don’t warp them.

Me and my daughter rolled up the door panels today

Both tubs are in now and working on quarter panel piece

I can really appreciate these body shops who do tubs and this sort of work after trying it for myself. So much mocking up and working stuff out. I need to work on the panel now that goes up against the quarter panel.

Main part of the tubs are rolled and made up the first tub.

Mounted it up on an engine stand and were good to go.

Found this old school swager. a local engineering shop had it under a bench tucked away..allowed me to borrow it.
