  1. Just starting to get the interior all sorted. black etched around the windows and dash. dash will need a bit of work we’re I filled the holes in
  2. Looks all good in there now. the white around the lip is just in case I decide to go that way. not sure yet, I’m still undecided.Could still go all retro like the old wagon. what do you guys reckon.
  3. Boots all stone chipped and sprayed out ready for the fuel tank and battery to be installed.
  4. Happy to have the engine back in the hole. Good motivating thing to get to this point.
  5. While the engine was still out I decided to finish up the steering. I have a borgeson universal at the column and and my old torana racks universal was really stiff and worn out. I was on an Aussie v8 forum and they made a comment about borgeson doing a universal for holdens with a cotter pin so I tracked one down. If anyone is looking for one they are not loaded on their website so you need to call them direct for it. It has the Holden end and a 3/4 dd shaft. My mate had a piece sitting in the garage, said I could have it so now that’s another thing ticked off.
  6. Finally got the wiper motor assembly all locked in place.
  7. Rubber mounts all made up and wiper arms all assembled. recountoured the rubber ends on the pivots also as they were pretty rough. hopefully get this lot locked in over the weekend.
  8. Slight hold up getting the engine in. turns out I need to get my wiper motor and assembly installed first as I’d have to strip the engine down a bit to fit it in after. Things are s bit tight back there. wiper assemblies all tidied up but I need to make up the rubbers that lock them in place as you can’t get good ones for love nor money. so I’ve purchased a small block of neoprene to make them up with. also had to make a tool up to tighten them down.
  9. Time to get the engine in the hole
  10. Got a bit more done this week. was very happy to get the car off the engine stands and closer to the ground. rear end is all back in place and starting on the front end. if anyone is looking at using the same method for a rotisserie I have the engine stand brackets, support bars on caster wheels and length of square pipe to join them.
  11. Run a few brake, battery and fuel lines. Front end is starting to take shape and the firewall came out pretty good
