I wouldn't have thought a 1 piece windscreen KW counted as old

Semi-related, does your old 675 have a TTX shock?

Havent heard anything from insurance re: outcome of my claim.
If they write it off I've been window shopping, Yammy R6 is the only thing that's stood out. Potentially excessive for a mostly commuter?
R1 also there but I am really not that keen to die and I bet insurance succccckks.
I'd rather commute on the R1, way more torque. Need to check rego costs as well as insurance costs

truck is apparently owned by Tranzcarr now and converted to tri-axle trailer is who knows where
If that's true, I saw it at their yard a few weeks ago painted white. There's not many Pacifics around, they stand out a bit

I think after a week, people will stop trying to push the boundaries and take the piss. At least I hope so. Those who are working are volunteering to take on the risk of infection in order to keep people alive.

would this for example apply to a nurse's private car needed to get to work?
My guess would be yes. I do believe that local garages are allowed to operate for similar reasons if needed. Most are using a telephone call out type service

VTNZ, VINZ, and AA will be open for essential services vehicles only. No private vehicles. If your vehicle is used in the support of life, then join the queue at their lane, don't get out. They will come to you, they will judge your need, if they deem you are not essential service they will turn you away. Don't try to take the piss. If in doubt you're probably not essential

May I recommend you buy brand new if going for a set of carbs. A new set of RS34 out of the states are cheaper than 2nd hand here, and not all worn out and broken. I bought some 2nd hand RS36 and then some brand new TMR40. Never again will I buy 2nd hand carbs

Have you tried your local Wurth guy?

Gemma, Mick calls me frequently too. Breakdowns, bouncing ideas around, sharning.

I worked at Cables from just before when Andrew left, through the time that Mick was foreman, and have been foreman in our Auckland shop for 3.5 years now. My step sister worked at Keith Andrews until she pushed a kid out earlier this year.

The sticker is still valid, but the car is not road legal due to being not up to WOF standard, no different to going for a fresh wof then throwing a set of slicks on

If you were on the same island I would've done it for a lot less than 2 grand.
Is that an open offer? at some stage in the next few months, I'd like to get something like this done:

Ignitech motorcycle ignition control unit. Trying to rig up a quich shifter ignition cut-out

Does anyone know how I could convert a piezo-electric signal into somethin a control unit would see as either high or low input?
The pieze has around 1V AC, and the control unit wants either 12V DC, or ground as it's input? I have tried using a transistor to pull the control unit to ground, but that was unsuccessful -
Huge numbers of old japanese bikes had poor connections between the phases of the stator and the reg/rec. Probably worth checking too.

No schraeder valve sadly, just lines tucked up under harness on firewall. Would've made life easier.
S50b30 engine.
Testing after the fuel filter should give an approximation of rail pressure. Depends if you have any restrictions in the hose between the two though.

I need to test the fuel pressure on my BMW to see if the FPR is working properly, but getting to the fuel hoses at the rail is a real pain. Is there anything stopping me from testing the fuel pressure down at the fuel filter under the car?
What age engine? Anything after M52 had a schraeder valve on the fuel rail

Shouldn't that leaky house be in the design disasters thread?
