    off the subject...but at work the boss has a gt3 porsche cup car,a camaro super gt car with 800+hp,and a s1 rx7 with 12a tallport....guess which ones blew up?the porsche blew the box,and the camaro smashed a head...the rx7 still going and going after 100s of races un re-built....

    i love seing v8s blow up..

    i wonder what it would look like...

    or a 3" roof chop....or a flip front?

    i might try a convertable mk2 2dr with a flip front with my escort if it doesnt sell......monster garage the bitch..

  3. same prob here mate....although i already had the manual conversion done....get a piece of 30mmx6mm steel,drill a hole about 13mm in the middle,and a 8mm hole each end to mount to the fire wall,now get a piece of 25mm steam pipe,cut a angle on one end so it points down when its welded over the hole on the flat piece......

    or goto a wrecker and unbolt the original manual cable sleeve from the firewall...tadaaaa....

    now the crossmember......i think you may have to either make one up,or see if a mk5 cortina one will work,or even a sierra one...i made one up by welding 2 plates off the sides of the manual mounts....bit rangi but itll have to do till i get a cortina/sierra xmember to see if it fits....

    driveshaft?i threw out my manual shaft that was in ine when it had the 1.3 with 4speed....bugger

  4. bro,when i got my ute done(12a nosecone),it took over 40hours work and alot of fuckin around.....i had a panelbeater do all the welding/fairing work so it come up mint....then i sanded it,primed it,sanded it,primed it,painted myself in my drive...come up alright,paint still looks tight...

    i had alot of trust put into the panelbeater ae,cos he was welding a mint 12a nosecone upto brand new b1600 front guards that cost $300ea...DOH!!

    just find yourself a old wise panelbeater who knows his shit....get quotes....tell them they dont get paid if your not happy with the work theyv done...

    i found out the hard way ae,i had a "profesional" panelbeater make up a seamless tail gate with built in rollpan for my ute,it was totally fukt up,he warped the deck too...i told him id only pay half of the work he did...

  5. try going into the boot,look up at the area or the problem,if theyr clips you could mash them out with a massice flat head screw driver,or the could be studs with 8mm nuts on them....

    if anyone has a spare rear tray for a 2dr,id like to grab it off you....i dont have one....

  6. i have a sierra efi 2l in my escort running a turbo..

    i had a 4age in it at one stage...but the brake work needed on it woulve made it too exspensive to complete...

    zetecs are also quite common...

    cool...2 more weeks till i get to see my escky again...im trying to find somewhere to stash it for a while....cos it dont look like itll be selling soon...

    had heaps of offers....but nothing worth taking...

  9. i have clear lenses on my escort...its black,looks fukin mint...seen some on a yellow one didnt look mean,just average...

    my lenses are more white than clear..

    new school shit in here?where?clear lenses have been round for ages,just like air brushing and chrome wheels....its just that things go round in circles like a boosted escort
