pick up dereg silvias/180sxs for a whole lot cheaper than their wof/reg counterparts,
The problem with these are they are old and have been trashed/bashed about and you spend money keeping them going. If it was me I’d look at the euro options as in clio cup,rs megane or something like that. Yeah not that fast but they are well sorted from factory and you can buy shit loads of aftermarket bolt ons. Keep it wof/reg and try some events then if you decide it’s not for you, you can sell off a road going car and not have to worry about fuckwits lowballing you

You get a log book for the car and it has all the details of cage spec from Motorsport nz. You need it no matter if car regd or not. Getting a cage and proper safety shit is pricey these days and if if it’s not got a reg you need to trailer it to the event so that’s a cost as well. You can still do abit with just a regd car and have a ball doing it but you need to realise there’s no cheap Motorsport. It always costs

Yeah Auckland has a crazy backlog for car thefts. My old work got done over in November, they waited 2 days for someone to come do fingerprinting after the first cops came.
-
The cops hardly even do finger printing anymore on stolen cars. They just blame you for not storing it correctly. They don’t give a shit

They sell them on trade me, so you should be able to buy the motor and controller.Mate got one for his kid for $800 in 2019 and still goes hard now even with fattys on it

Isn’t the top one a drain back into tank

Na I went out with a few of them and it was pretty rampant then. My wife was a red bull promo girl and has some crazy stories

I wrote a letter asking if the wof was still valid not to dob him in
If they pull the wof they send you a letter. My sister got hers pulled, she just had to go get another one from someone else

I’d wait and find out where he lived and stored then report it stolen. Free car

Doesn’t this car need a re compliance? If the shocks looked shit or look bodged they will tell you to replace them anyway.

I’ve done it before and wouldn’t recommend.Seem welding on a road car doesn’t really make stuff all difference without a cage. Just ads more weight and makes it a real bitch to fix if you bend anything major.

Flocked dashboards are hard to clean, when I was working race cars we had them nearly redone every season. Rally cars were worse, the dust slowly turns the dash brown

I had a 1500 probox for nearly 8 years, did 180,000 ks with 2 service’s and trashed from start up to shut down. Woke up one morning and it was painted camo, could fit shitloads with the rear seats down. Great car
