So why are you after a Geiger counter ? Got some old watch dials to lick ? Or have you possibly uncovered a terrorist plot ?
-
Maybe is that a geotechy type device ?
-
Na but keen to get one as I sometimes work right next to the largest uranium source discovered in nz so far - to aliex to look for one now
what are the utes you sometimes see with the radiation hazchem Symbol on the dg placard ? Rad source and counter for pipe testing ?
see them a bit / one got stolen last year and they had a wee panic -
So are the brand new triton 4wds - stupidly high first gear - they need different diff ratios for the 4wd - 6th gear 100km is almost fall asleep and not far off stalling

No different to people faking plates/declarations as they do now. Expect a trip to court wnen you get caught.
This has been thought of and there is a mitigation in place. Not sure if it is my place to say though.
Also people will be able to access the info without an RFID scanner. You will require 2 codes to be entered manually in place of an RFID scan. It won't be a number plate as one because they change.
Yeah won’t worry me as I like to roll legal
can see Johnny rfb hacker trying it on just like they do now - good there is a plan in place

Yup weld it - sleeve inside plug welds and done - still way better than anything involving a quill stem adapter thingy ...

-
Yeah i see ... that headset is a very tall stack ... And the stem is huge...depends how much $ it costs for a new lower stack one and a lower stem - still may be cheaper than welding
-
There was a reason they stopped using those quill insert stem things on anything but crap bikes - they were shit
have seen steerer tubes welded even alloy ones no problem if done properly - but if ya can buy a 20$ stem and not have to fuck about then yeah ...

Edit: I just clicked as to what you mean by bmw stem, I assume auto correct from bmx?
Yup meant bmx stem
there are lots of very low stack height stems around in various lengths and prices - local bike shop usually has a huge box of them to dig thru

A low stack height stem would get that on there - also lower stack headset
if i can see the steerer above the top bolt of the stem it’s ok ( bit more for single bolt stem)
some bmw stems are super low stack but only 7/8 handlebar

Show us a pic of the setup - welding may be more expensive than just get a different fork
-
Nope - shorter stem and lower stack height on the headset bearings
or just don’t do it find some with longer steerer tube
some are replaceable can press the steerer tube out and replace
Don’t risk your face or a snapped neck it’s just not worth it

Two post hoist in home garage (questions).

Yup or if you don’t have a hoist already buy single phase hoist
I got new non clear floor single phase cos it was cheaper than clear floor by about $1000 and I didn’t quite have the overhead clearance for clear floor
bump isn’t a big problem to roll cars over
