Then they brought P11 primeras and they were shit. And the handbrake was in an uncomfortable position.

Still caned the fuck out of them when i could.

Shit yeah I got my brothers one of these. It was flogged. Manual. But the SR20DE would spin a wheel up the entire chapel street on ramp for the TGA Harbour bridge, without fail. In the rain I could hook second and get it limmy bashing.

Brother wanted to buy it back. I said $1k, parents said lol fuck off it's fucked. $500 max. He daily drove it in Auckland CBD till the window got smashed one too many times and both locks no longer worked.

So a big fan of the monkey? Did test on a grom and quite liked it. Also @64valiant thoughts on monkey?

    V. big fan of the Monkey. The new 5 speed one would be so great. My Wave has basically the same engine, except semi auto. I think they're rather awesome.

I rode the Monkey and did a review a year back.

  3. Firstly, fuck yes @64valiant. Thats great stuff. Glad the Monkey happened. Also those 750's are quite nice. Smaller (than a lot of similar cc bikes) zippy and more than enough. We had one at Adrenalyn for a few months and it was my favourite lunch time bike.

I got full license because of working in bike shops, but also because I couldn't get a motorcycle international license without one. NZ's intl DL only has a 'motorcycle' section that they will only stamp with a full class 6. Where as a lot of other countries have an extra page for smaller bikes/mopeds and then the full size section.

Got pinged in Asia twice now (Once with 6L and once with 6R) I tried showing just the NZ license and they wanted international, saw the bike page wasn't stamped, emptied my wallet. So a niche reason but if you ever want to be properly insured for riding bikes in other countries, even if it's just a twist and go in Bali, it's worth the effort.

  4. That is a good point. Like many, every year I have multiple 'woah fuck me almost died' moments. Which gets less fun as I get older. Combined with large group of varying ride ability and a small crew of people dead set on out drinking Andre the Giant and this old man barry has done his dash with large group rides I think.

May join for the 10 year anniversary as support driver in a Tuk Tuk. Look forward to the pics/videos of this year!
