Is it heat proof matteybean? Thinking of putting it in my engine box in my van as I'm right next to the engine.

I'll get the ball rolling, my 1990 homy dx is stalling at low revs when I come to a stop I'm not sure on what it could be as it could be a lot of things, I'm going to check the points n plugs tonight, I know what it could be but I don't wanna start trying stuff until I have a good idea on what the problem is, its a z20 motor electronically carburated, 5 speed manual, anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Cheers.
