I get that old car shit all the time, the old Mirage can't always sustain it's speed going up hills all the time. Especially in 100KPH zone.
But I love it when on the flat boosting past at 120 KPH, and seeing the look on their faces. Especially passing the truckers LOL. Where did he come from.
This reminds me of the time I drove my Suzuki Alto Chch-Dunedin and back for lols. I think the look on the truckies faces was 'what a fucking muppet' though...

^pretty much this. After spending two weeks cycling in Thailand, I have a lot of respect for their orderly chaos traffic system. Probably the most patient and courteous (especially to cyclists) drivers there are.
...and as for 10 people sitting in a ute tray at ~80kmh.........

But is it a significant enough power increase? Factory figures show 108hp for sohc zc, 120hp for dohc. So a little over 10%?
Or is the power increase figure only with regards to needing a cert on the oe engine modified?
In which case one could argue its the stock engine, just has a dohc head bolted to it. Which you could have done with the old engine.
Be like a non type r integra having a type r engine fitted, both are stamped as b18c but one is more powerful
Will my vehicle require LVV certification if I increase the engine size?
Yes the LVV threshold table states that the replacement engine must be equal or lesser capacity than the OE engine so LVV certification is required.
Will I require LVV certification if I increase the power of my engine?
LVV certification will be required if the increase in power is more than 20%. Adding a supercharger or turbocharger automatically requires certification.

Anyone else think it's a convenient time for a sex scandal resignation type thing?
Just like bombs in 9/11 and tinfoil hats around wifi

I watched some Top Gear last night with Matt LeBlanc on it and what looked like his pommy grandad racing ww2 jeeps. I fell asleep, it felt like a bland soggy biscuit

Does anyone know about re-registering seat belt requirements? I know of a nice Vanden Plas Princess that has lapsed rego and only has two-point shoulder belts in the front, anyone had experience with getting og seatbelts through or is it a case of bringing them up to 3point belt standard?

I think most people's 1st project car was a heap of shit, they did a bunch of shit work on it, broke it, got a mate to fix it, broke it again and learnt to fix it. Well that's how it was for me.
There's been some stunning builds on a shoestring budget that take years to finish. It really depends on what you want as the finished product and the base you start from
