Maybe a little off topic but thought I'd try here anyway.

So I'm trying to sell my Audi TT and some guy is offering to pay weekly instalments of 300 for the next 13 weeks. TBH I don't really need the money that soon so I'd be fine with it but this just screams SCAM.

I mean his profile only has 2 friends and nothing else...

If it was real however how would I got about a contract? And also I'm a little bit scared that if it is real and the car breaks (sort of likely, it is a 255k Audi after all) after I sell it to him that he'll stop paying.

Anyone have any ideas or tips?

So I've been looking for an e30 manual 6 cyl coupe for a while. Finally found this one for sale in Havelock North, pretty much right next to home:

I'd even seen the car around a couple times and taken pictures:

The problem being that I don't live at home anymore. I moved to chch for uni. Luckily enough my parents were happy to view the car for me and potentially pick it up.

And with my luck the day before they view (and only a day after the guy posted the car to facebook) I get the news that the guy fell asleep while driving home from work and had an unfortunate encounter with a lamp post:

But I decided fuck it I'll go for it anyway, I've been looking for so long and how hard can it be to fix?

Also it's got some nasty rot under one of the tail lights:

Anyway I'm looking forwards to Easter when I actually fly back home and get a good proper look at the car.

Are you sure they're real hayashis? Have you checked what the markings on them say?

Everything's back together now just need to get a new bumper (I've replaced the park lights with indicators for now but I don't think that'll pass the wof):

Back in the old days they didn't have a word for orange, that's why redheads are called redheads even though they have orange hair, and red foxes are called red foxes even though they are orange.

I've got everything fixed now just waiting for my fancy film to come back. I need a replacement bumper still but it's pretty much close enough.

Bringing this back because of new Season.

I reckon so far this season feels a lot more like the old Top Gear.

Bonus being they got rid of the American, and Celebrity brain crash.

Some jokes get a bit old but it feels about as scripted as the old show did and it's pretty much on par, a lot of complaints transfer back to the old show and are just a part of their persona tbh.

Anyone else got any opinions?

Fun's ended again...

Slammed into the tow bar of another car going downhill in the wet when the brakes locked up:

Excuse the black and white but it's the only film I had on me at the time.

Luckily it seems like I'll only need to get the inner fender and rad support straightened out and then get a new bumper and driver side fender, which I both probably needed anyway.

And the other car I hit seemed pretty unscathed except for a tiny scratch.

Ahh well unlucky. If anyone's got some spare quad headlight panels and a bumper laying around hit me up.

I've got a single fender, a rusty bonnet, and a shit tonne of headlights, but no bumper or endcaps sorry. Traded my bumper for the twin front bumper when I got the kit.

Yeah it's likely a 2t or 3t bellhousing like sleeektoy said.

Any difference on the outside casing for t40 and t50? It came with no shifter linkage but I have a nagging suspicion that the top box is a t40 from a ka67 Carina. It's got a 22 spline output shaft, it's got 5k stamped on the bellhousing, and I don't think I can shift it into 5th by hand.

Just bought these 2 T50s from Desoto on here and wondering what the bellhousings are off of:

I'm thinking maybe r series toyota celicas?

Yeah it was found thank god. Rip in headliner and the ignition is buggered but insurance should figure that all out.

I have no idea of the law but I imagine if your car didn't have headrests before would the aftermarket seats need to have headrests? My Simca doesn't have a headrest stock, so you'd think it may depend on what year of car you are putting it into. Then again I don't know if you need a cert or something for an aftermarket seat?  Probably not I'd think.
