  1. Fuck, sorry guys, what van thread would be complete without a pic of the stabbin cabin??? Plenty of room for speakers in there!! Also threw in a pic of a plaque I made up for when I go to shows. It makes me laugh just how seriously some people take themselves when they go to a show and put in huge time and money to display their car and chase trophies, don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking them, its just that I would much rather be relaxed and have fun so I knocked this up just to take the piss out of them all.
  2. Here's the last few photos as she is now. I have a few photos of some of the work I have done so far. I will post them at a later stage as well as the upcoming heart transplant and few other things......
  3. Heres the mechanical porn: Aussie assembled WB, (much better quality of assembly than the rubbish we got here) 3.3 litre blue motor, 2 barrel weber, extractors, column change trimatic, nothing flash but she goes well considering she has 380 000kms on the clock. Just doesn't make the right sound, hence, this was bought a while back to use as a donor vehicle Just gotta find time to make it happen....
  4. Anyway, after a few years and much blood, sweat, tears and beers the old girl is starting to look how I want her to.
  5. The van was in Greenhithe and the seller offered to drive it to Onehunga for me to pick up which was a bonus as I lived only a few kms from Onehunga at the time. Drove it home (ran like shit....) put it on the hoist to give it a once over and nearly shit myself to find the gearbox crossmember had no bolts in it at all, none into the chassis or into the trans, it was sitting at an angle of about 20 degrees across the chassis and was so close to falling out, Imagine the mess that would have made...... That was a good indication of the state of work done on it, everything was rough as guts.
  6. I love my mongrel shaggin' wagon. When I bought her she was an $1800 trademe shitta, I hit the buy now without looking at it or talking to the seller, just a couple of low res. photos. I could see the GTS front and it had power steer and a few other good bits so I figured if she was a basket case I could wreck it and get my money back
  7. Yes, I still have the panelvan and always will. Used to be my daily driver along with the VQ when I lived in town, now its just a toy. I will start a thread for it as soon as time allows
  8. Hi George. How ya going? Hope all is well for ya. No, that doesn't look familiar at all mate, there was never that much room when I had it Geez son, you need to get yourself some more cars.....
  9. Yes, I am the same Bluey717 from trademe. I wrecked out many HQs back in the day when they were a dime a dozen, ahhh, the good old days...... so I still have a lot of parts. You can get in touch with me on 027 Holden1. Cheers
  10. Thanks for all your positive comments guys. Cant figure out how to reply to a few posts at once so will have to do a few.... The VQ wasn't an HSV one, just had the HSV wheels (which I still have if anyone is interested). It was my daily driver when I lived in Auckland but I now commute 100kms a day so I have since sold it. That was my old garage in town, it was an awesome setup but I now have a bit of land in Pokeno with three sheds to play in
  11. Hi all. As requested, here are a few of the collection. I have been mucking around with HQ-HZs for years and owned heaps, probably hundreds in my time..... It has progressed from an interest to a hobby to a full blown sickness. Haha Will add more detail as time allows, I am new to internet forums so this is slow and painful. Have a good one Craig. discuss here, DIscussion thread
