  1. Guess I should try getting this thing road worthy if I’m to take it to drag day..

Finally managed to install the rebuilt PS pump.. had a bent pin I believe.
When I went to install I noticed how far out of alignment it was so that may have had something to do with it failing, so I’ve shimmed it out and it’s pretty much bang on  in line now.. was about 4-5mm out originally and I noticed the pulley on the pump wobbling prior to the rebuild, hopefully this will help it all last a long time to come.

Last thing to do was to put in the new filter, unfortunately I ordered the new one off the code of the old one without realising the old one wasn’t correct.. needs to be 2.5” diameter to fit in the cup in the base of the reservoir, but this one is 3” so sits on top.. probably not a big deal as the spring holds it down, but I’d prefer the correct filter so I’ve got it ordered and should turn up next week.

South Africa and around 25 or more countries imported Chevrolet badged Holdens from the 60's, I think they were liked in the very hot countries similar to outback Aussie

Hmm.. what are the other countries? could be an untapped resource for a cheaper HQ than what you get here.. I can only think of the Philippines where I've seen them

I have an under $10 trademe unit and it goes hard for what it is.

I did pay for the Ford specific software in the torque app to get a few extra parameters to show in my turbocoon but this is not necessary for scanning and clearing codes etc..

    Edit

This is what mine looks like.. Can't comment on other options..

I see in that listing it doesn't work with iphone.. could that be the reason my aliexpress one doesn't seem to work? it looks like this..

Is it easy to flip the shackles? Mine are facing the wrong way. Wanting to get them back correct way so it drops the rear slightly

Any info or step by step way to flip would be appreciated

Hey man, can’t remember an exact process unless I wrote it in a post.. I used a short crowbar between the shackle mounts of the body and leaf spring and levered them back, just can’t remember if I needed to drop the nuts off the bottom of the shock to give more range of movement. It wasn’t a tricky process at all though, just gotta jack it high enough to give the crowbar room to rotate as you need good leverage. My crowbar is only 600-700mm long.

    Hope that helps

Can you get me a contact for the seller please?

I can't access marketplace for reasons I haven't discovered yet.

I noticed the same thing on my FB just the other day.. it disappeared from the bottom of the screen.. it had moved into the Menu (bottom right)
