Whereas we are the total opposite. A few rust holes in the sill or the door won't make you crash.

Standard 8 or 10. My dad's first car was a 10.

Boss was telling me yesterday that his wof guy just got a new Colorado. Reckoned it's crappier than the ones we've got. Just annoying stuff like no lid on the console cubby and dodgy cup holders but it'd piss you off quite quickly if you used it a lot.

Go on plug it in, you know you want to.

when I was a little kidy uncle sold his farm. My dad got a huge record vise from him. (I couldn't lift it, but I was small, so it was probably only a 150-200) he already had a 100 ish. I went out to the shed to play one morning after dad had been doing something out there the night before. Both the vices were sitting on the ground with the front jaws broKen clean through.
I did once ask how the fuck he did that. He just said doing something he probably shouldn't have been. Bart aged about 9 was amazed that something so big and heavy could be broken like that.
Several of those big Record vices got broken in the metalwork rooms at the high school I went to. General consensus was too much hammering on them / using them as an anvil.

I think the AG GNs were 125s, I may be wrong though.
I forget whether the ones here were 125s or 250s. Have an idea you might be right though.

My wof guy has never asked for rust cert. I've offered to show him repairs before painting but he trusts me.

Is it a GN? Suzuki dealer in Balclutha had a bunch of those on full knobbly tyres a few years ago. Never let on that they couldn't be road registered though.

If one were to do that would the resultant vehicle bear the identity of the chassis donor or the body donor? Or does it not matter and whichever one has live plates is the winner?

I've been reliably informed that those old 4 litre Commer flatties hogged all of the go juice but don't let that be a reason not to have a bit of fun if it is not to be your daily.
As to driving a rooted old car fast I'm sure we've all done a bit of crazy shit that we probably shouldn't have back in the day.

From what angle does a xa/b/c coupe look butt ugly?
It has a really huge arse and looks somehow out of proportion whereas Valiant coupes and Chargers do not.

How come '70s Falcon coupes look butt ugly from certain angles compared to the corresponding sedan but Valiant coupes don't?

No idea without seeing it.
Here's the list of stuff you can do without cert.

Just read through that. I was surprised to see airbags mentioned in connection with the substitution of handlebars on a motorcycle.

Mine's in the middle of the bench but the bench only extends half way along the wall. Grandfather mounted his in the middle of a bench that extended all the way along a short wall of his garage and made a removable hatch so that if he needed to work on long stuff it could just hang out the hole in the wall.
My pipe vice is semi outside for ease of use with long pipes.

When reusing super dry old native that has been standing in a building for many decades it is often good practice to pilot drill the nail holes. If the nails don't bend when you try to hammer them in the wood will split so either way you're fucked if you don't.

My EN Civic has a repro/pirate front guard on it. Taiwan copy when the car was only a few years old for 1/4 the price of a real one. Took a bit of cutting and bending to make it fit.

Thought those studded ice tyres were illegal in New Zealand?

Make sure the installer is not an incompetent fool like the one who put the alarm in my coon (before I bought it) and managed to disable the central locking in the process.
