The Hilux we had at work in the early '00s was so shagged the front leaf springs bent the wrong way. It wallowed like a pig and was generally terrible to drive but everyone in the office knew that and drove it accordingly. It still got wofs but maybe it shouldn't have?

So theoretically I should have got a cert to change my Civic from the factory 12" steel rims to 13" steel rims of a later iteration of the same model that I bought as a parts car?

Hard to see that lovely Minor clearly. The image seems to have a bug in it.

Following both your build threads with interest. Have vague memories of seeing pictures of River Rat in NZ HotRod magazine back in the day.

Viva should probably have been on 155R12 same as ADO16 (replacing 5.50x12 cross plies). Light truck steel belt tyres last for ages. Used them on an Austin 1300 in the '90s and my Civic too for a while. In more recent times I found 145s widely available but not the 155s I wanted for my Wolseley 1300.

Still sounds like a win to me.

It might be overkill.
Nothing wrong with that.

Late to the party but I think it looks pretty damn good on those black steel rims without the hubcaps.

Or even fifty years ago. Was load rating of towbars even a thing way back when?

Been up to 70 demerits back in the '80s when any speeding ticket was 35 whatever the speed. But that's enough of that.

Can you use big cc twist and goes for your license tests?
My wife got her motorcycle licence on an 80cc scoot. That was a long time ago but pretty sure you still can.

Gotta love old cars with simple electrical systems. The issue with the interior light may well be related to the wee push switches in the door shut area. Does it work on door with one
/some(edit, forgot it was a coupe) door open? You will be reinstalling the trailer plug in a more sensible manner?-

The bed on that thing appears to extend disproportionately far behind the rear axle. Maybe it's an illusion created by the camera angle.

Brother-in-law tells a story about hitting a roo up NT one time. Forget what car he said he was in. Reckons he has doing close to 100mph when he hit it. Folded the radiator around the engine.

Wifey got a duck in my Civic once. Nearly got the small dog that was chasing it too.

Got a turkey one time in my first Mini. Was running bumperless for some reason and the mounting plate near took it's head off.

Can't join you this year chaps. Sadly I have to spend the money I don't have getting the coon a wof. All the best and I look forward to reading about it here afterwards.

What's not to love about a Marina?
Disclaimer; I may be biased cos Grandpa had one. Still pissed off with uncle for selling it outside the family when the old boy died.

People should be mad about what 599 and below have to pay, got a gn250? That's $200 more than your car please.
This alone probably serves to reduce the number of motorcyclists on our roads. Government should be encouraging people to use small fuel efficient commuter bikes as part of their mania for reducing emissions/fossil fuel use. The current system penalises such things instead.

Anyone had any experience of those big scoots? Are they as good as they're cracked up to be?

My ex had a '76 CG125 for a while. It got 115 mpg and could do 70 mph if I lay down flat on the tank. Never had a motorcycle licence, never got caught.

Blenheim bridges, formerly the top ten.
Stayed there once when it was a Top Ten. Was pretty good then.
Still sorely tempted to spend money I don't have and join this circus but resisting strongly.

Was thinking of you and this just the other day. Good to see it's not been forgotten.
