That's in amazing nick but $30k? Really?

Falcon? I've had two automatic ones give transmission trouble so I bought a manual one and the only serious issues I've had with it have been directly related to that. Broken clutch cable x2, broken clutch fork, broken firewall where the clutch cable passes through (badly repaired by a previous owner and repaired again in my ownership), broken clutch pedal / pedal box x2. Apart from that it's been fine.

Eventually these Tesla's etc become available on the second hand market.
By which time they're at least 3/4 fucked and probably still more expensive than many alternatives. Labour used to be the working man's party. Not sure what they are now.

The fee pays for the rebates. I'll stop there before it gets too political.

On a really dead battery I've needed to use a dumb charger initially once or twice.
This. Or else hook up a known good battery in parallel so the fancy smart charger knows what to do..

Charger? I see them frequently here in 'clutha.

Mini kit should also suit ADO16 and possibly Allegro.

Take the back seat out and called it a commercial vehicle. Plenty of dealers did that in the mid 80's to enable their customers to dodge new car sales tax.

There's one for sale in 'clutha if you're keen. No idea how much they want for it.

Is hacking up and rebodying a mobility scooter a valid option for you?

Yes.

Were hydraulic diggers even a thing back then? I don't remember seeing them until the mid 70's.

Is there perhaps a number stamped into the chassis or body somewhere? Wild guess where to look for it without knowing what the car is.

I guess it's to give a large range of options for testing to discover the best possible setup.
