thanks so much guys - some joker really gave me a scare with a few of his clearly uneducated opinions! Nice guy though - but oh boy!
It's going to have AE86 struts and brakes, a 7AGE and supra box and diff tbc - which I guess will mean a rear brake upgrade and pedal box upgrade.
So thankfully, after talking to the LVV guy, it's not going to be a major.
I'm just about to paintstrip/blast and prime the shell so that's my first real challenge - it's not going to be a fast process but I'll update how I go.

I am rebuilding a 74 KE25 and am planning to UPGRADE EVERYTHING - motor, box, suspension, brakes, diff.............
When I bought it, it was deregistered and had no plates.
Apparently if I try and register it once I've built it, I will have a nightmare as they will treat it as a 'new car'????
Someone told me I should buy the plates of another shell with the rego on hold??
When I heard about this my heart sank
I've emailed a good LVV guy I was told about but would be keen to see what you guys have to say on the subject- 1
