  1. Ps. Ive been a tad slack since i did it but ive been wanting to fit a sub gains control knob so i can have easier volume control etc.

Atm i just have a switch hidden that turns the amp and reciever on/off.

The reciever runs on 5vdc so i just moded a phone charger plug to power the reciever.

  2. Is it so that you can see a radio in he car?

Ive got a small bluetooth music reciever hidden under my parcel shelf.

    Then rca leads to a small 4ch amplifier. (4 × 50wrms)

Then my speakers are stealth install.

So I just bluetooth strean the music from my phone to the reciever and use the phone as the radio face etc.

  3. If your cars been mutilated in a way that can't be restored to original easily and half the original parts are missing then its probably not that important.

Do you have the original gearbox and diff? Usually a serial number or theyre date coded etc.

If not then having the original engine isnt going to help you much, unless the car is a super rare collectible model that EVERYONE wants.

    Final thing is.

It probably wont be much use to you if you're intending to never sell the car either.

  4. Theres alot of things avail now to modernize an older car.

Central locking is pretty easy as are elec windows.

Power steer and even air cond is avail.

With technology now sound deadening is alot better and easier to use.

As for wind noise a good set of rubbers may help.

You can even do stealth media installs on older cars. So you can have an ild looking car that actually drives and feels more like a modern car fairly easily these days.

And if done right isn't that expensive.

  5. Mate was just telling me about a shed that his cousin made up out of a shipping container. He mounted benches and cabnets to the walls etc and made everything able to be "locked" up safely for moving.

He did this because he was a renter and moved alot. So never had to worry about packing and unpacking his workshop.

  6. Just thought id say if ya after a (wa)goon a territory (if ya get them there?) Is another option.

i went that way due to bad knees/back and found it easier to get in/out of due to it being a bit higher (sedans and goons are to low so have to sit/step UP to get out)

They're also not as high as a 4wd which can be too high at times. I know my patrol can be a c@nt to get in n out when i have a bad day with me knees etc.

Terri is kinda just right height for a daily when ya knees etc are f#cked lol.

  7. Remove the wood from the mdf as careful as possible then light sand where it was glued and flip the wood and glue to a new piece of mdf.

    (Opposite to original glued side)

Will give you a mirror image of what you got now.

    Messy- yes

    Time consuming -yes.

But may save ya buying more wood panels

  8. What model megasquirt? Or (Link?) Etc.

What would be the model/name of the computer to look for?

Im pretty much set on 3× throttle bodies (eg 3× 50mm) etc

I have seen Sonic injection are making a new su style throttlebody etc so even 4 of them perhaps.

But its the "Actual Computer" Im stuck on.

    Unsure what to get.

  9. Brocky ran triple 58mm webers in '72. And had 1 throat blocked off on each carb.

It drank more fuel but it did work on the engine power wise.

The 2nd car ran triple 2" SU's. Non rab the factory carbies.

the cd 175s are only 44.45mm so alot smaller carby.

ive just reached the limitations (like many others) of them.

I had 2"su carbs to go on it but a dodgy shop was meant to rebush the throttle thafts on them only to take their merry time doing so and finaly one night they shut shop and disappeared for good. Along with my carbs.

So ive just stuck with the cd's since.

Now im finally going to give the upgrade it needs, as its way undercarbed. And ive reached the limitations of the 175's

  10. Very cool.

But im not sure about screwimg around to much with the cd's. As they're genuine XU-1 carbs.

As for stealth unfortunately a set of triples on a red 6 isn't considered stealth in most cases lol.

But as for sneaky yeah its pretty cool having an injector hidden inside.

Ive been looking at a 3- 50mm throttle bodies. So that side of things is pretty easy. I have several options i can use.

Its the actual efi computer im stuck on.

Are any aftermarket ecu's self learning/adjusting?

As in get a baseline tune and drive the car and it adjusts on the go itself.

I think the holley and msd setups are like that. But unsure if you have to use the 4brl throttle body for it to work??
