Waiting on a few things to come back from paint, like oil tank and exhaust brackets...then I should be able to try starting it up for the first time.

Starter jackshaft arrived. This isn't the correct one for my parts, however I ordered it on the off chance I could make it work. Long story short, I took the original jackshaft and this one, swapped a few parts around, did some witchcraft in the lathe and fingers crossed I've made a working starter motor with cushioned engagement pinion. Time will tell...

If its the same as a dry clutch, double check the witness marks in the clutch inner and outer. They go together a certain way. Its possible to assemble them the wrong way.

Yep. But that's not finished in the photo, it will look much better when the lines are connected to the oil tank.
Went with black lines, as the old adage goes "if something is ugly, try not to attract attention towards it"

So I snuck this inside, then took a photo to wind up my wife by putting it on FB. I swiftly removed it before she came home to avoid conflict.
Well she spotted the FB photo, comes home and is disappointed its not there. Asks where it is, and explained that she kinda liked it. So here it is...back in the house again.
She's a keeper.

Looks good, 3 speed 90 with the large engine door? Or asthmatic 50?
I have the early model 90, 1965, 3 speed with small door so engine upgrade options are almost nil. I used to have an SS90, that was a fun scoot - one I should never have sold
Its a large door 50s 4 speed. Im super stoked with it. Probably go down the rabbit hole of making it faster later on, but for now its not a priority to go fast.

I've done a heap of stuff, but haven't really been updating this thread. I want to, as its a good way for me to look back over some of the stuff I've done.
This popped up on the memory my phone auto generated.
I'm happy with it, but turn signals, and handlebars are my main headaches on this bike. Nothing I've done to date I'm overtly excited about...but needs must. I'm sure this won't be the last time I change them, 5 sets if handlebars, 4 sets of risers, and 4 different types of turn signals and I'm still looking for better ideas.

Oil lines plumbed up, exhaust mounted, basically its ready to start. I might hold off until I've run the rear brake lines and bled them etc...but in theory I could put fluids in and hit start now.
Still a few niggling issues to resolve like fender struts and rear wiring to be fully ready. But fuck yeah!!
