  1. Donuts? Who doesn't love the guilty pleasure or glazed carbohydrates... But these ones are guilty free: I did some rough maths, ignored it...made these because the size was roughly in the middle of the two bends I needed to create.
  2. Start a project. Visualize it finished...then go full retard and commit. Seems to be a formula that works.
  3. Photo to give better perspective of just how small these Ape's are: For me, that's part of what makes them so cool.
  4. Not my favorite part of any build, but unfortunately as good as Bluetooth wiring looks, unfortunately real wires are required to make it run. My multi use braket gained an extension to house the fuse box. It's removable so I can still access the brake reservoir below if needed. If tried to tuck it away out of the heat from the motor fan. But its all getting pretty full in the space.
  5. Bit of pitting in the slave cylinders. But mostly where the slugs sit, not where the seals are. So I might get away with a light hone and prayers to baby Jesus or whichever God answers prayers for vehicle related problems?
  6. Ignition added, and I sandblasted the stainless intake to hide my bad fitment of using a mismatch of 34mm bends with 32mm tube.
  7. Chonky You can see why Vespa is wasp, and Ape is bumblebee in Italian.
  8. Fuck yes! Period correct piping trim seat...fuck yes!! Very skilled work (not me).
  9. I'm no welder, especially with ss, which I tend to cook the fuck out of. But the above is all functional. So a grinder and paint will make me the welder I ain't.
  10. This way a bit of a headache trying to make it fit. It's longer than I wanted...but its not getting entered in the Isle of Man TT, so if it goes over 50kph...I'll be happy enough.
  11. Pushed it outside for a view of how it looks. Pretty happy with how it's all working together now. The doors and windows will be the final parts to make. Not sure if I'll get to the shops in time for Christmas shutdowns. But worst case... I have a holiday.
  12. Yep, the grinders on the deck aren't just for show... Much better.
  13. Butt hurt time for VW owners...but oval windows are stupid.
  14. Lots of stuff squeezed into the tiny engine bay. But, it's falling into place.
  15. This is what success looks like Tight chain, perfect fit.
  16. Sitting in place, test fit seems to work...so I'll work with this.
  17. The only problem was my unit sat 30mm higher than it should, due to the mounting hole orientation. After a bit of brainstorming with some people smarter than me, a combination of ideas was used to solve the problem. The original push rod was cut, shortened and threaded in the lathe. A block of steel and the original master cylinder pin was threaded into the block, with a locking nut. This creates the 30mm offset and allows adjustments if needed. Win-win!
  18. Squeezing in the brake master cylinder. I purchased a forklift unit off Aliexpress to use, as it looked about right. I've never seen the original setup, as it wasn't there...so this is how it's going to be now.
  19. Trial fit on chain drive Looks like a half link is in order. Which I've ordered and will pray to the gods of speed for it to magically solve the tension issue without the need for an idler.
  20. Pretty sure polycarbonate is quite floppy, compared to acrylic that is more rigid and fragile. But my experience with either is limited to school projects made 30 years ago... aka magazine rack and other dumb shit you make back then.
  21. And another small job off the list, choke fitted to seat. I've made another much longer cable, so seat can still pivot forward. This is just a dry fit to get it done.
