  1. How about a modern twist on the them.

Get a VT/VZ commodore V6, drop in the 4/6 port Renesis and Auto.

Both car and engine could be had for notalotofcoin - so win win.

Get some Mazda badges and instantly enjoy confusing stares and many street creds.

  2. Manual and Auto were all about the same power 100-115 depending on the market, get rid of the emissions gear and exhaust manifold and that's a very good start while leaving things basically factory.

Auto to manual swap is a piece if cake in these. Certainly a squillion times easier than left to right conversion and I'm sure no WOF man would blink an eye...

  3. I've seen a few bad ones basically rusting the roof right off.

Mine hasn't suffered as he crucial aspect is ensuring that the 4 sunroof drains are clear, so no chance to have damp leaf matter rotting both itself and the metal surrounding it...

  4. For what it's worth, I have a Silver Series 2 that will be coming up for sale in the next few months, similar excellent and (very) original condition to the above S1, although it adds the 'luxury' features of electric windows, mirror, aerial and factory removable sunroof. Looking for $15k. None of this LHD malarky either. PM me for further details.

  5. ^^ I can answer that.

No they don't. The bell housing pattern is different on the rear plate. The early TD had a top mount starter too so the flywheel is also different.

Rear plates can't easily swap either due to a change in through bolt locations as well.

  6. Haha @DVD: all good man! Lol.

Cheers everyone for the comments, don't ever want to be one of those dudes that all 'look at me' hence the lack of updates. Keen to get out and about and make up for all the time it's been off the road though, so if you see me out, don't be a stranger :)

  7. How interesting :)

That was first proper outing in many years and got spotted by a couple mates who'd never seen it in the flesh.

Speaking of jizzing though, it's unfortunate timing of the camera, cos there is some odd hand placement by the fella by the rear door...

  8. Both are home bud. 7 is stored safely waiting for something to happen but no one including me knows what yet.

2 is happily on the road - took the first drive on the road last week for a shakedown and happy to say nothing fell off!

Also managed to get out to caffeine and classics today to enjoy the heavy rain and low turn out ;)

  9. RX-3 coupe > RX-4 coupe > RX-2 sedan > RX-2 coupe > RX-3 sedan > RX-4 sedan.

Any of the above can move up one place with hotwires or modgies. The reverse happens for Simmons.

    2 questions..

Since RX7 nor RX8 made the list, does FB > FE or vice versa?

    What about with BBS? :D

    Pic for attention ;)

  10. My 2c.

Can we flip the question back to you?

What would recommend for a V8 for someone looking to get a taste and tick off the list?

Reason I ask is if you recommended a Nissan President then I think the RX8 works back for you, if you said a cammed VN, then Bridgeport sounds like more your thing.

I do like RX8s, but not sure they give you the full rotary experience personally.
