  1. help/advice :D

    1 - rx7 fc series 5 13BT

so i have a really excellent condition series 5 13BT, in pieces, cleaned etc

what is the complete engine block and external parts worth in nz ?

    2- rx7 fc parts

what is a complete fc series 5 front end worth ?

is it worth bringing into nz ?

as i have x2, bit rusty as uk, usual, sandblast paint etc mint as lol

ie struts, hubs, calipers, subframe, suspension arms, power steering rack and pump, sway bar, etc

    thanks

  2. so your first picture, the readings need converted to  @250rpm

    @ 255 rpm - 98 / 102 / 96 - PSI

    correct to

    @250 rpm - 96.00 / 100.51 / 94.56 - PSI

(sorry calculator convertor uses Kpa not psi, hence extra digits etc)

my bad, sorry shouldnt have made comment :(

my bad, now how to explain so it comes out right lol

i thought it was the new version "rotarycompressiontester" tester

the new one, i havent used,  as i have the old version as a spare, i use for call outs also

read it gives the readings for one rotor as they are, ie actual readings and then at the actual rpm it was taken at

then next screen it reads them @ 250 rpm which your 2nd pics look like

the first pic show readings, but at 255 rpm, which need converted to 250rpm,

it doesnt change it much as the rpms are so close to 250 rpm,

when you have one that has reading taken at 265 rpm etc it changes abit etc

which i thought the second picture was the first picture readings corrected,

so then thought were is the 2nd rotor readings at whatever rpm it is at then, needs to be corrected to 250 rpm

    clear as mud

the first couple rotarycompressiontester versions, only gave readings at whatever rpm it was actually taken at,

you had to use the conversion chart/calculator to convert readings to 250 rpm

hmm wonder why a 54mm socket comes in 3/4" or 1" drive, so you can get adapters down to a 1/4" power bar lol

so totally destroys, flywheel nut, center part of flywheel, probably the crankshaft

clutch pressure plate locating pin holes and bolts with angle grinder, must not have had a 14mm spanner :D

as long as it was done cheap, ie didnt have to pay someone to do it, now needs to buy, crankshaft, flywheel, nut etc lol, yip cheap ftw :)

looking forward to him working on my car, not lol

  6. Alloy is better than copper. Heat and flow etc.

Different types of alloy cores to.

I had a custom alloy rad made for my mk1

Think it was Christchurch radiators. 20 years ago. $1000. A lot cheaper nowadays. More people doing it.

Plus alloy hose pipe don't collapse when you over tighten lol

  7. 20B query :D

exactly, how thick is the thick plate, the plate with the primary and secondary ports in it etc

I'm guessing 100mm. But need exact measurement

also, any chance of some quality pictures, both faces, both sides, top and bottom views :D

would be very much appreciated :D

have tried to buy a used damaged plate here, but no luck

    @20BRX3

    anyone else help ?
