Quite dim aren't we.
If you don't want people to give their opinions on a cars value, don't ask. Saves you having a big cry.
I never had a point to prove in this. If you actually read my posts you'd know that though. My OPINION, was that you should just import it and make the profit.

Wasn't out of context at all, someone estimated 8k for the car you asked about, you said you think 15k. I said if you think it's worth 15k, bring it over and make the bank, will be a good profit margin for you.
Doesn't matter what else was being discussed in that post. The key figures are the 8k and 15k. What the rusty 616 was priced at isn't relevant, it doesn't match the car you are talking about in many ways. I feel like you only want to see your point of view, so i'll leave it at that.
it was, and youve done it again
so you think, a 616 rusty rolling shell car non repairable only good for some parts at 6k, and a lhd 616 with no rust, complete and driving is only 8k
a 2k difference
its nothing to do with MY point of view
it does, as your missing half the conversation, your picking only bits and pieces of the conversation, so what your saying is irrelevant to that conversation
sounds good

Perhaps everyone else is wrong and you are right. Start bringing the cars in and selling them as is, LHD for 15k. I'm sure people will be legitimately impressed.
So do it.
youve taken it out of context, youve only got one line of the conversation
i was comparing against a 616 sedan rusty pos that was fully rotten and not repairable for 6k
to a car with nothing wrong with it and driving, big difference aye
by everyone you mean less than a handfull of people
personally, when im back in nz, i will be converting to rhd and road legal etc,
im not doing to impress anyone, im wanting to do one to help get me back to nz

then i could post it here on tuesday lol
id get 30k with titans, no

cheers
you cant compare old school/rx7 fb to cult old school 616/rx2
as if your looking a 616/rx2 you wouldnt be looking at rx7s
im thinking cult old school rx2/rx3/rx4 is about twice the price of old school rx7 fb/fc
cheers

Glen - bring the 808 wags back - grab a NZ shell and make life easy for yourself with a switcharoo.
why would you import a car, to then buy a nz shell ? doesnt make sense at all
why would you buy a nz shell, when the lhd shell has nothing wrong with it ?
for me, its not hard to convert to rhd,
im a automotive technician/mechanic, my passion is building/modifying cars, its not a hard life,
maybe hard to get paid for it lol
i would have thought the 616 would have been worth 15k landed as is, no wof/reg etc
people on here seriously had a go at me for saying a rusty pos 616 sedan, that wasnt repairable for 6k last year,
i said it was worth like 2k only for parts, most said 6k was a fair price
and a original, tidy lhd 616 complete, driving, not needing any body work is only worth 8k with wof/reg, doesnt make sense
ay caramba

Quickly
Fob lhD 1971 Mazda 616 sedan original, tidy, guesstimate ?
-
Yeah
As I've said before. What it's advertised for is not what's worth or what it will sell for
Rx3 coupe is the cult RX. Just the way it is- 1

Personally I would have thought that a LHD 808 with WOF/REG would be $6-8k dependant on interior colour. Especially as it sounds a bit rough.
Is it a squashed or pointy nose cone? Didn’t LHD 808’s in the US of A have 10a nose cones?
If that’s the case then it might bump the price up tp $10k?
Wagons aren’t coupes though and LHD cars are worth fuck all here.
This is what $18k can buy you and no one has:
https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/mazda/auction-2250768686.htm
This has been for sale for a long time too:
If you can get it brought cheap, then it’s worth a punt maybe?
Trade Me is full of LHD Mazda’s people have bought into the country thinking they were hitting pay dirt.
But they all just sit there unsold for months and months.
yeah seen that, what got me thinking a little more
have been keeping an eye on trade me,
im totally bewildered at some of the cars and condition, also the prices
626 with no engine, had a rotary in it, setup for a rotary engine - 6k
929 wagon, serious rust issues, no engine fitted - 9k
there were a few others
but the condition gets me, as the price, there is so much work and money needing spent on them
seems like NI pricing to me, they price things as what it would be when its finished and perfectish,
where as its just a rusty car needing alot of missing parts and work and money spent on it
they want the end price, instead of reality of what it is and needs etc
i just was wanting something i could make a couple grand/ok 5k :D, on to help get me back to nz quicker

Reunion.
Is there a list of each make and model car that attends, also tally of each make and model
Be interesting to see how many of each, each year, to compare over the years etc
Does reunion have its own website ?

I would have thought it was worth it, considering how few there is available
Seeing these crazy prices on TradeMe for 323, 626 rolling shells etc
I could fit FC 13B 6 port and convert to rhd etc
Then I'd like it too much and want to keep lol
But rather poss make few dollars to help get back to NZ.

so experts
what would a LHD yellow 808 wagon, good condition, few surface rust spots, needs recomissioned
be worth in nz ?

Okay, I have an idea:
Every 10 pages or so the RX-8 debate comes up. I think most piners have pledged their allegiance one way or the other.
How about we agree to disagree regarding the RX-8. Some like it, some don’t.
But it is a rotary and we do pine after Rotaries.
So if someone posts something about the RX-8, it you don’t like them, scroll down to the next car.
If we stop arguing about them then that next car will probably be the very next post.
This will avoid the 10 or so for and against RX-8 comments we always get.
Id rather see more Bongo vans, Titans and roadpacers then RX-8 trash talk.
Thanks.
there is a difference to not liking and just utter bullshitte about rx8
has nothing to do with allegiance
no one is arguing that i see
if you dont like them, thats fine, no problems, i dont care
saying shitte about them with no real fact etc, then you will get a reply that goes for any rx
problem is people listen to internet etc, so no need to shitte talk when its not correct
the rx8 is a mazda, it has a rotary engine, it will get talked about in a rotary thread
if you dont like rx8 talk, same as you said, scroll down etc

Each to there own, it's a great introduction rotary and affordable. Maybe that'll be its most memorable catch phrase "the affordable rotary"???
Rx8 handles like a dream and is cheap to buy. It's also cheap, and ummmm cheap? And when it comes to affordablabily its affordable and cheap. The price is good too. About 220hp/1350kg, with a motor redesigned to comply with exhaust emissions with no real potential to make stupid power out of later, as the exhaust route is dumb..
Rx7 is super cool, looks like a sports car, handles like one. Cost 10x more than an Rx8. And is 1100kg/250hp - with a way better motor that can be improved upon if desired.
But I'm sure none of this is news to anyone.
lol
your reasoning is a laugh lad no fact to back it up
nothing wrong with an opinion, or saying you dont like, thats fine
saying there boring etc is just pure shitte talk, when there not
boring and dumb, well that just sums it up lol
6 speed gearbox
factory locker lsd
programmable ecu
rotor shape head rest
rotor shaped gear knob
big brakes
etc
boring
re cheap, your complaining its cheap, thats a first lol
you do realise 25 years ago you could buy rx2, rx3, rx4 coupes sedans for 2-5k, thats cheap, so does that make them boring ?
just because now they make big money doesnt make them any better, just more expensive to buy
because a car, cost 10x more, doesnt mean the other car is no good,
the rx8 engine has had turbos and superchargers fitted making good hp 400-500hp, is that too boring lol yes they dont make 1000bhp ....... yet
its taken 20 years for big hp fc and fd etc, things take time
me i like all rotary engine cars
yes each to their own whatever spins your wheels

RX8's are boring. Fuck all power in a much safer heavier vehicle = sucks cock!
i call "Bullshitte"
totally untrue, not boring at all, just as much fun as an rx2,rx3,rx4,fb,fc,fd
you must not know how to drive then
you line a stock 6-port rx8 up against a stock fb,fc,fd, rx2, rx3, rx4 and try say that or same for same ie exhaust/intake etc
youll be eating your own words
ps, to those thinking, here is the rx8 defender, nothing to do with that at all,
truth is they are a great rx, yous are missing out if you listen to the bullshitte about them,
RX8's are the new old school RX
awaiting the flamage
