re wildrx,
aint no expert, but i'll throw my 2cents in
thats a tough question, as sitting for so long, near all will need checking and rebuilding if its seized,
so could be alot of work which can dip into the price
needs more details and pictures,
always try advertising with as much info and decent pictures as poss and ask for sensible offers etc
also depends whether you want to sell car and parts separately etc as im sure you'll be asked lol
-
The things going to spend its life primarily punting around on the open road, so think 2000-5500rpm ish operating range, limited to 7000rpm.
thats a low operating range for a rotary engine, also you dont want to be boosting/hard boosting that low either, well below 4k anyways, as thats when engines go pop
they dont really start life until above 3.5-4k and are designed to go to 8/9k

^^ howzit,
cool, i'll have to search for the build threads if any

yeah id like a wagon, be a cool work car, plenty space in back for stuff

I duno, A guy I know only got ~13k for his (I've mentioned this car before), and it was a JDM spec GSII Luce with ~82k on it. (sold on factory wheels), I'd rather have this personally.

those rotor wheels are very cool, as far as im aware only factory fit series 1 and 2 little 13's, series 3 is PCD 4x114.3
did the state have those rotor wheels in 4x114.3 PCD ?
i have a set off my series 2, that im one day..... lol..... yeah right..... going to build a 4 wheel trailer with think trailer would look cool with them, with rotor on it and rotor towing ha ha
121/rx5 ...... someone say beer goggles lol, that one looks very cool though
mechanically they are awesome, 13B... yeah.... awesome gearbox, 4 wheel discs brakes, lsd i thinks too, a well setup car really
and they soo ugly they kinda loook good
id love to own one to see what they actually like
seen a tubbed one with a 20B in it ? then a rolling shell ? drag car for sale for awhile in nz, whatever happened to it ?

Ok piners, I would like some advice...
This is the one and only time I am going to rebuild the FC, so what tweaks should I make? Bearing in mind it is stock standard nana spec but is running a Mazdaspeed twin exhaust.
My thoughts are maybe a mild port job?
A friend is also saying I should get the turbo welded up and put on an external waste gate (all plumped in of coarse)???
I want it to be original as possible, but like I said, a few minor tweaks? All my previous rotors have been old school 51mm IDA and extractors type set ups haha, none of this churbro stuff with pipes everywhere.
Oh, and I am not going front mount or anything like that...
you have a project thread ?
what series is the FC ?
what series is the engine ?
what series is the turbo ? or what turbo ?
if series 4, get a series 5 turbo and intercooler, S5 turbo has twin internal wastegates, and for a street car is pretty controllable, series 4 has only one and doesnt control boost that well
stock ports, or stage 2
fuel - bosch pump and malpassi or turbosmart fpr is a must
3" big bore exhaust and k&n panel filter is all good,
decent bov, like turbosmart,
factory setup is all good, but with a few tweeks is even better
if FC turbo, you can put in a to4 wheel in FC inlet side, just gives it that little bit extra,
i like external wastegates, im pretty external happy

your a lucky man with the wife

one motor for two cars brilliant idea

thats nice coupe, the other rx4 coupe for 22k ? was very nice too,
want a 1974 rx4 coupe one day, 3 rotor and 6/71 gmc
people still say the stupid 32 for a 323 and 62 for a 626 ???
that cracked me up like lol
-
ah i see, i just use the series 1-8, even easier and specific
-
Well I think I have a failed water seal in the FC which means no G1 for me till I fix it. *sad face*
sorry to hear
whats G1 btw ?
if you want a band aid fix to get to a few places for a few months, holts - head gasket seal, i'll dig out the exact name if you want, it can cure pretty good water seal failure, but also doesnt muck up the cooling system or plates,
i dont do the quick band aid fix myself, but can get you a few months for a few shows or meets etc if your hard pressed

genuinely asked if it was just whats in picture or was it complete but in boxes,
was advertised for 6k, twas thinking a bare shell cant be worth 6k ?
was then removed next day lol
only asked as seen complete road going ones in aussie land for 3-4k and was wondering bout it
