Excuse the picture of a picture, was going through some of grandads old pictures from work. Owned by Thames sawmilling company was driven by a man called Yogi. Was around the same time that machines were going away from direct drive to hydrostatic so they figured trucks would be next and imported 2 of them from America with Allison automatic transmissions. Highly likely it was matched with a 2 stroke Detroit as well. Will thread spam once I get the hard drive with the rest of the photos.

Brought a 13mm Jacobs chuck for the lathe at work was around $150, so good though nip it up with the key and it hardly ever slips. Trade account through Total trade. Is there a reason you need the 16mm capacity?

Badass cheers man, will order a pair and decide whether to order more from there.

The tail lights/indicators were the same size on the back
4:30 for the rear lights.
Does anyone know what brand these are? Would be ideal for a project I have in mind.

EE 80 90 100 etc Corollas have a good setup, shifter is a stand alone unit as well so would work well for a conversion.

Yeah rock auto man, by far the cheapest. Went through and did my research about a year ago for my corolla.

Go through a good broker, have had a couple of claims where not at fault and especially if you get a good one they know the right thing to say and throw their weight around. Good way to streamline the process.

Think I will do the exhaust something like this.
Dr200 header tucks in the best to avoid burning stuff. Muffler can be shortened a little (I have a 2" Coby here but it's so heavy) will probably pop a dB killer thing in the end of it. Will make a rear pipe out of 38mm bends.
Should be able to clear the panniers, shock, tyre, and pillion this way. Have only found one pic of a gn125 with high scrambler exhaust, no one seems to bother changing the header at all. Having no panniers or pillion would make it easier
Muffler is via @UTERUS so hopefully the bike doesn't catch on fire now
Highlf likely I have some 38mm stainless and a couple of bends that you can have if you wish?

This makes me excitable, Jeff Snr still has his xl250 from when he was a whipper snapper down south and he is keen to pull it out of retirement. Speaking to him the other day he said the biggest shortfall with them is the front drum brake, if you could find a disk brake front end out of another bike that would make a huge difference.

Yep have access to a few lathes, biggest lathe I can use normally is 92mm bore 2m bed. Should be big enough for most stuff. Otherwise have a 20mm bore 500mm lathe at home. Pm me if I can assist.

Man I hope @Geophy's dad changes his brand of oil. Of all the thick two smoke fumes I inhaled last year, his smelled the worst by far.
Hmm cant figure out why it smelt so much, he was running the same motul 710 as me? Also surely they are taking the piss calling OIL 710. Main reason I buy it.

Found out today that Yogi still owns this truck and its is undergoing a full restoration in Tauranga at the moment in the TSC colours. He is hoping to have it going for a wedding this coming summer. Been invited to go over after lockdown for the full Barry yarn on it.
