bonnet filled and primed

Started repairing drivers side gaurd today.

And back on car waiting to be bogged up. Dads gotta shrink some of the metal around the indicator, apparently metal is really thin and is making it really hard to weld.

It's 15 per driver. As the club is msnz approved ibeleve there waiting for msnz paper work to be completed. But my understanding is its all go. So if you got to link at top of topic make a account on the forum and tick tht your goin. I know its a bit of hassel. But will be an awsome day, makesure ur battery is tight, there also be a form u need to prjnt of and full in before you come, the usal waver etc. I dnt believe dform is up yet but it will be up soon.

my understanding was that it would be around 30bucks for the Grasskhana.

We also stripped the bonnet as there were a few stone chips and dad suspected there might be some spider rust underneath.

Hi all. Ive spent most of today at galaxy of cars with my father, hes part of the nissan/datsun Zclub.

Zclub has asked me to extend and invite on this forum for any body interested to come to the up incoming Track day and also MotoKhana .

Track day is help in taupo on the 15th of feb. Its $130 for non members which includes lunch. They use track 3 at taupo race circuit. Its very easy going and you always get a chance to get plenty of track time. Anyways heres a like to the event:

Hope to see some of you at these events. Taupo might be a bit late notice. There has always been a wide variety of cars at these events.

must be super tight as with my factory 15's there's very little room between caliper and rims.

Has anybody got any ideas what i should do with the spoiler. I kinda need some thing with a bit of downforce, as u can see its not the most aerodynamically shaped car nissan ever made. It gets a bit floaty at speed in the rear and also booting it around corners. i just dont wanna put a huge aerofoil on it and make it look like a shopping trolley. 

So when i brought this car. It was badged with 50th anniversary badges, also it was badged nissandatsun.
So with that in mind i thought i could get away with a classic datsun colour scheme.

I prob continue the red bonnet all the way to the bumper and paint both head light covers. So that paint scheme and the widened advan a3a's is what ive got in mind.

I'm pretty sure those 14s wont fit over the Evo brakes.

if I remember correctly they do. I tryed them at some stage they were pritty close tho.

These are the wheels ive got sitting waiting to go on the car. I bought them about 3years ago for 400bucks, theyve been waiting in the garage all this time. Only thing im a bit guttered there 14s would have liked 15s. I will also look at getting them widened at some stage as they are only 6inch wide.

Next up is windscreen rust.

Those little holes in top corners were leaking at one stage. Was amazing how much water they let into the car.

Dad also said that most the rust along the front of the windscreen was from when the window was replaced the glass guys probably cut the paint when removing the window. Apparently they are alot better at it now, and treat those areas before installing new windscreens.

Then we will attack the bonnet. Ive decided ti remove the bonnet vents at this stage. will see what it looks like once done, ive got a spare bonnet in garage which i will paint with the car and if i dnt like the smooth bonnet i can swap them over.

Got a bit of work done on it today. Well dad did all the work i was busy building his deck. (labor swap)
