The 1622 has a 3 bearing crank, the 1800 had a 3 bearing crank (18GA prefix) until October 1964, when it was replaced by a 5 bearing crank (18GB prefix). Distributor advance curve and carb needles and/or springs will be different.

Trailer hubs are 4x98 Mini stud pattern which I redrilled to convert to 4x100. Allows me to only have to carry 1 spare as all the rims and tyres are the same.
4x98 was an Italian thing, on Fiats and Alfas. Mini should have been 4x101.6 (4"). Triumph was 4x95.25 (3 3/4").
Barry out.

Upgrade kits available, either slotted rotors for the original calipers, or Willwood calipers and vented rotors.

The Salisbury axle looks like a Capri V6 item, so a rear disc conversion for a Capri might be an option? Or is it a Mk2 Jag?

I'd be more concerned about the chassis, brakes, and diff handling more power than an Essex V6.

13 x 7 Turbos and Hotwires were common on Cortinas.
Sonics were popular on Mirage, so definitely 4 x 100.
Don't recall seeing Raiders around.

Basketball coach Carl Dickle had one just like that when he was our PE teacher. Didn't improve his standing with the non-sporty kids. lol

Nice colour. Plenty of parts availability, can't see anything cracked from your pics. Replacing the old hoses should be easy. While you're waiting, check the electric fuel pump still works. Good luck!

Agreed. Second hand / parallel imports only though. Chyoda isn’t selling them here. However they will sell you a Yaris cross ew I just threw up in my mouth a bit.
Read somewhere Toyota are bringing them in through Signature Class.

A colleague has a caravan and lives on a lifestyle block about 10km from Manurewa train station. He bought a PHEV Outlander because it was a good compromise, enough grunt to tow the van a couple of times a year, enough range to do the commute on battery. Even with RUCS, he reckons it's still cheaper and greener than having a petrol or diesel SUV, or a tow car and commuter car.

Who stocks them?

I figure it's ok on boats, as the boats that use petrol are usually hauled around on trailers behind diesel utes, and they don't pay any extra RUC to cover the wear and tear on the roads.
Apart from Bart's lawn of despair, would many "amateurs" buy a lot of petrol for lawnmowing and chainsaws?

You'd have to be made of money!

The MG5 is not a new MG, it was released in China in 2020. Confusingly, Europe has had an EV MG5 wagon since 2017, based on a version of the Roewe Ei5.
The MG4 has much better 5 star crash protection.
