As long as they make it clear they're counting engines, not cars. Although, to be fair, the range extender is still powering the car, albeit indirectly like a diesel-electric locomotive.

Flashing indicators didn't become mandatory until July 1967, so earlier Minors can still legally use the trafficators, but I imagine most would have been retrofitted with the cheapest commonly available lights for their first wof after July 1967.

Anywho, that's what I keep telling their owners, just because it's got 4 doors and 5 seats and tops the sales charts doesn't make it a car.
