  1. What is the legality of cutting a hole in the roof of a wagon. Similar to a sunroof but without the glass lol any way to make it legal ie removable steel cover etc.

  7. Hey so i purchased this with it being on my list of cars I limited myself to. It was shortly after transported from Dunedin to Christchurch. Unloading it of the trailer saw the battery dead so that was the first issue and the clutch not wanting to dissengage. So first rewired the alternator and it runs and charges sweet now. The clutch fork was no longer adjustable so after bleeding the system a spacer was added and that left me with a driving car. So this needs sorting anyone in CHCH that wants to do a cashie or recommends anyone that can do it resonably cheap but proper id love to hear from them. So i added these as the steel wheels it came on were bent or so i thought. There was a steering shake that increased with speed so my playful blats in this and it is very playful were cut sort. But these were the culprits.... Someone spaced the steelies to not rub on the struts with fucking washers... So with this solved i got to take full advantage of its beautiful running.... 186... Which it is certed for and is suprising nice in this and gives it plenty of fun in the lower three gears. It runs a w50 5 speed btw. So im sorting some parts now need bumpers mainly front one. And a few interior parts plans are get it roadworthy again. Also if anyone is interested in it it may be for sale as i know of my dream car for sale.. an mx32 with factory 4m and irs. so this may be out the door to get me into that. If not il build it up until i can afford the mx.
  8. I have a fair bit of rust work to do on my RX30 so wondering if anyone want a cashie. Or knows someone that could hook me up. Its needs a bit in the sills, a heap in the arsenal end requiring panel forming or if someone knows of a parts car I can get the arse cut of. Cheers, Cameron Ps will load photos and VIDEO0066: https://youtu.be/FgMv0RRmt14
  9. Yeh that's it. I wanted to Beowulf bit could only get over Saturday and the old guy was a gc and said the other guy was coming Sunday so couldn't sell and I couldnt warrant the trip cause I knew it was gone
  10. that pretty interesting there was a similar coloured one in nelson that sold for $350 last year and also went to otago uni i see heaps though this was it for a second its an ix8383 or something something plate was on trademe i think.
  11. Have it sorted rod is so fucked couldn't wind it out so I used washers to space it out a bit.
  12. How much should the pushrod move and leave the master cap of overnight with pedal?
  13. thanks heaps will try tommorow slave seems abit worse for wear ie boot crushed/gone doesnt look to leak though.
  14. I bled from bleed screw on slave. Would bleeding with slave held shut ie f clamped so piston cant extend remove air from slave. seems to engage the clutch as soon as the pedal moves. which is why im not too certain about if its air in the system.
  15. that is one full push then the first softer push repeatedly.
  16. Hey there having issues with the clutch not fully disengaging. This means can only put into gear with foot all the way to the floor and going from a forward gear to reverse will still grind. Have bled the clutch using a one man kit ie hose and bottle above the slave. The pin holding master piston to the pedal is not a tight fit so moves maybe 2mm. Was going to extend the pedal so i get more travel and hopefully push it a bit more but cant seem to turn the bit that attached and still not ideal. Also was going to set the slave pistion so the clutch fork was a bit further when it started being pushed but it is very tight and nut spins the pistion. Engine is a 186 box is assume w50 and looks like toyota master and slave. Looking for any advice on what you think? Possibly a faulty pressure plate broken clutch spring. I assume it would be running a 186 clutch and pressure plate. Cheers
  17. Most I have seen only look like they slide in one direction. Strut suspension on an rx30 or gx61 putting in mx73 bc Golds where the holes make the adjustments at an angle due to different hole positions
  18. Do these have to be perpendicular to the car iv just seen a gx61 the nice green one on trademe that appears to have them so they point towards the centre rear of the car ie giving increeased castor with negative camber. I always assumed the plates should adjust only camber ie point to the other plate. Will try upload photo when I get the chance.
  19. So kinda wanted a small project for hauling the crown. I have decided on a basic dolly for simplicity and price. I have read into the cons of this method but have decided on it anyway as it is about my only reasonable offer on my budget/space. Picked up 16m of 75 x 50 x 3 steel box, 1500kg stub axles and 5x114.3 hubs, and a pair of galv guards.
  20. They are the same box and the bell housings are interchangeable had a mate test it with my spare when he had his engine out. Never thought to try a shift kit cheers will look into this. And no it wouldn't go into a patrol.
  21. Yeh I'd heard that on civilians just imagine the boxes to be quite long. Can go auto but don't really want to as it takes away some of the fun. A bit sick of the autos I drive.
