The bike is a bit big for all the low speed lane splitting.
Should just use impounded dirtbikes
I’d say those would be pretty capable. Especially when you see what someone well trained can do on a Harley

Pretty keen to have a go tbh.
Also, it’s so goddamn obvious when people think they’re being sneaky looking at their phone at traffic lights- 1

Awesome! Pretty sure one of the local bike shops has a blaster so I’ll go and see them.

That DR Big is still at $1160 and closes in 30min. Someone in North Island please buy so I can live vicariously through your build thread.
Edit: went for more than I thought it would at $2500. Still a good deal imo.- 2

Gonna get into the business of flogging off Royal Enfield's?
How good would that be.

I chucked in the progressive springs I brought for the forks ages ago today.
Vast improvement over the original, I cut the spacers 1/2” longer to allow for more travel to.

Might head down for a day or so as well.

Based on what you guys are saying I’ll just ride the sporty until it fucks out then get something else.
Aesthetically it’s fine and the tanks at the painters getting redone, it’s just that gear issue that is annoying.
It is insured too so if someone decides they like it enough to steal it I’ll get most of my monies back.- 3

Could buy an old Enfield
I wanted an Ironhead to start with. Might save my hard earned $$ for an ftr1200 or Dyna in the future. Who knows.

@tortronprobably not wrong
Foot on shifter sounds more accurate. It definitely feels more like a bend shift fork not fully engaging gear that gear dogs worn down. I’m no expert tho.
-
It’s only got about 23,000ks on it. Only 2000 of which I put on. Not sure how the PO managed to wear first gear out enough to cause it to jump out of first with so few ks.
