Man that sucks. I had enough difficulty finding an 80s clutch for the AX, worked out easier to just buy a crate motor, shame you don't have that luxury. 

 

Are they a separate unit on yours or not that old?

Did you ever manage to find AX clutch plates? It's so silly that a new motor is so cheap!

but what colour to paint the inside of the shutters? i'll knock a few of the obvious choices off, like camo, digi camo, snow digi camo, hi-viz, primer and guidecoat.
